Happy Birthday, Bev! CAS(E) This Sketch #190, CAS-ual Fridays #156, Fusion – 8 September, Happy Little Stampers Dies – September, SSS Wednesday – 14 September

Hello … bonjour!  I’m celebrating today with one of the sweetest souls in blogland … I know you’ll know her from her delicious blog, Happy Dance … and if you don’t, you really need to!  Happy, happy, happiest birthday, Bev, ma chère amie … may your day be filled with joy, love and laughter … and may your year to come be blessed with the closeness of family, the warmth of friends, and the delights of new discoveries!  I made this for you, which might or might not have already arrived … if it’s not already with you, it’s pretty close …

happy-birthday-bev-cts-190-cas-ual-fridays-156-fusion-8-9-hls-dies-sep-sssw-14-9-wcmc9-1A white card panel, stamped with the most delicious delicate leaf sprig from Concord & 9th‘s Wildflower set (NBUS!).  It was coloured with Distress Ink and Zigs and the panel was trimmed down so that a couple of the leaves just peek out over the top edge.  The sentiment (SSS) has the die cut word ombré sponged and stacked on craft foam, and the supplementary black strips white heat embossed and popped up on foam tape.  I sponged a slender black frame onto the card base, adhered the finished panel over it with craft foam, and added some clear sequins with enamel accent centres to finish off.

Bev’s card is heading to …

I never thought last year’s gift could be topped, Bev … THE craft island … which for those of you who never saw it looks like this …

Believe it or not, this is not a resort... but it's a $29,000,000 Mega mansion on a private tropical island.:

however, I did find something to complement it, just in case you feel like a change of crafting scenery!  Joyeux Anniversaire, sweet friend … enjoy every moment!

Dear, Sweet Anita! Thank you for the lovely card, and the fun, fun party! Our Friday’s mail hasn’t made it here yet, but I’m sure your card will be there when I check! I’m loving this beautiful card. Green has always been a favorite color, and I’ve been drawn to foliage images as long as I can remember. It’s beautiful. What makes it special, though, is that YOU made it. And I love it! Thank you so much. And the party…The table looks perfect, the champagne and dinner looks mouth watering, and the cake looks right up my alley; blackberries, flowers and not too much frosting! But then there’s my YACHT!!!!! Girl, wherever did you find that???!!! That’s one amazing ‘ride!!’ Can you see us all taking turns island crafting and yacht crafting and island and yacht….. This is just delightful! Thank you my dear friend. Best party ever! : ) xoxoxoxo

What a clean card (and a wonderfully clean party to match – well done, Anita). I love that wispy sprig and the little touches of spring green. And. I love that yacht. You book it for your next crafty retreat, you invite me too, OK?!?

Swooning over Bev’s birthday card. You really went all out on this one. It is beyond lovely…more like fabulous. The sentiment is so beautifully done. And what a party you planned the vessel is a crafter’s dream come true, as is that amazing spread you offered the guests. I’m salivating as I type. Hope I don’t get the keyboard wet. Wonderful party…I’m sure Bev and the guests enjoyed it thoroughly…I know I did. Excuse me, have to pop over to her blob and make my apologies for not knowing it was her special day.

My wonderful friend, what a gorgeous, classy, clean card you’ve created for our darling Bev (I’m been ‘adrift’ in the “Land of Life” and will be sending her card late!). Absolutely beautiful – and it appears that you, like I, have discovered the delights of Concord and 9th. I confess to a ‘splurge’ or ten! Now to find the time to play with all the goodness! The crafting island or ship would be the ‘perfect’ place to hide-away – with all our marvelous friends in tow – for a few weeks of uninterrupted designing, dining and wining! Oh, the thought! Speaking of crafting journeys: you and the gals must be entering the ‘counting down days’ portion in readiness of your upcoming trip! Simply knowing you’re on ‘this’ side of the world has me thrilled! Off to reverse-catch up…

What a beautiful card and I love how you added color in such subtle ways – the soft colors on the die cut sentiment and the pretty leafy sprig. I’m glad I stopped by so that I could take a gander at that yacht! Hard to believe it’s real. It’s like Gilligan’s Island come to life only a thousand times better!

Quelle magnifique carte Anita ! Bises

Your card looks so great; love the “die-dipe”/partly coloured diecut! And what a great fest for Bev; wouldn’t mind getting inky on that craft island or boat/house :)! Hugs, Gerrina

Once again, a simple, simply stunning design, with lots of style and color. Love the ombre effect on the bold die sentiment, and the way you’ve hung the greenery ‘off the page’. Off to wish Bev a Happy Birthday. TFS & Hugs

Gorgeous card Anita! I love the daintiness of your clean & simple design, especially the one leaf that extends beyond the panel! Bev is gonna love it!

Fabulous party, tons of great food, a beautiful venue and some really cool swimmin pools! Now, about that boat…do you think we could rent it for a day trip on the lake? Imagine how much fun that would be!!!
