Hello … bonjour … and Happy All Saints Day! I’m rushing in with a ‘partly done at the Lake House’ card to share with you today …
The part I did at the Lake House was the stamping of the Essentials by Ellen Mondo Peony (thanks, Ardyth!) onto watercolour paper (thanks, Bev!). Here at home, I used my Zigs and water to add colour and shading to the bloom and some leaves, trimmed them out and mounted them on foam tape into the corner of a stitched rectangle card panel (courtesy of my sweet friend, Claire in Australia). The sentiment is made up of two different ones from WPlus9‘s Happy Wishes, I scattered a few sequins around it, layered Spectrum Noir glitter pen onto the flower centre, and added some dark grey splatters, before adhering the panel to a card base.
I’m playing along with four challenges, two of which are closing their doors shortly (hence the rush!) …

SOOOO pretty! I love the splatters – add a nice subtle pop without overpowering the GORGEOUS flower.
Still having major issues with my computer (grrrrr) so sneaking in some commenting at work!

Bonjour, my wonderful friend! ‘Tis I, the Queen of Late finally (and with no excuses…just toooo much ‘stuff’ happening…details to come soon) arriving to add words to the abundance of gazing and admiring already having taken place. Bonus: second helpings of seeing your delights! A marvelous mondo peony, beautifully shaded in lovely hues of orange/yellow with the perfect spicing of splatters! Gorgeous!

Gorgeousness achieved once again with this beauty, dear friend. Your watercoloring is simply stunning, and you’ve really made that peony pop with that lovely orange color. So beautiful. And how clever to layer the sentiments! Leave it to you to be so brilliant! Missing you and sending hugs and bisous your way.
This is a gorgeous image, and wow! your water coloring is fantastic. Such beautiful shading of color in the petals. Even though this is quite a large blossom, it’s still very much CAS in your hands. How sweet to be able to look at the finished card and think of the sweet ladies at the retreat who shared supplies to make such a fantastic creation. TFS & Hugs
Absolutely stunning Anita!
Anita, your coloring is fabulous, I love those orange into deep yellow tones. Gorgeous card.

WOW !
Bonne semaine ! Bises !
That is one gorgeous flower, Anita! How neat that you had some help from your friends to set up the card. 🙂 But that coloring…that is all you and it’s so very pretty! I really like the depth you achieved. The spatters look great (so brave to do that) and so does the sentiment. Fabulous card! Hugs!
Happy All Saints Day to you Anita and now All Souls!
Your flower is just gorgeous and many wonderful friends to help along the way make it even more spectacular! The splatters add so much !
So much gorgeousness from one mondo flower and many friends. Anita. I am in awe. Monday I decorated the altar for our All Saints celebration Sunday. It will be especially emotional as we celebrate the saints who influenced my life, my Mom and Dad.
Just beautifully coloured! The little splatters make it so interesting! Hugs, Gerrina
Gorgeous coloring with your Zigs on the Peony, Anita…WOW! I also love how you stamped the sentiment…so clever! I think it’s so fun that each element of this card is from a different source ~ that makes it really special 🙂
Gorgeous card! Thanks so much for joining us in the challenge at Seize the Birthday!

Your colouring is beautiful…I love the spatters, too!!!
Your flower is so beautifully watercoloured.. Great design with using a partial image in the top corner. Great idea to add two sentiments together. xx
Your flower is stunning–so beautifully and perfectly colored. Such a striking focal point. I really love how you did that sentiment–putting the birthday right atop the ‘happy wishes’ looks fantastic.
WOW! Jaw droppingly beautiful! Such an impact that orange blossom! Orange is my favorite color in real life. I should use it more often in card making….
Stunning….so beautiful Anita! I love all that gorgeous orange and your watercoloring is shear perfection.
