Less Is More #300, Virginia’s View #25, Tic-Tac-Toe #21, SSS Work It Wednesday – October … and a Lovely Visit!

Hello … bonjour … hope your week has been going along wonderfully!  Before I get to the news of a lovely visit I received recently, I have a CAS card to share for a quartet of challenges that just seem to fit together beautifully.  Want to see …

lim-300-vv-25-tic-tac-toe-21-ssswiw-octoberThis sweet bloom is from a WPlus9 flower builder set … there are lots of other images as well …  I just wanted to let this one take centre stage!  It’s stamped just off the edge of a white card panel and has the flower head coated copiously with Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle … it’s just about visible on the top two petals if you peer in a bit.  I added a sentiment from SSS and some crystal bling before popping the panel up on craft foam onto a card base that had been trimmed along the bottom with washi tape.

I’m joining in with these playing-nicely-together challenges (badges below) …

Less Is More – Celebrations/Festivals … it’s the 300th … congratulations, Chrissie and the team … what a fantastic milestone!  I have a soft spot for LIM as it was the first challenge I played along with, way back when we were all still young … and when we were still in double digits!

Virginia’s View – Stripes/Plaids

Tic-Tac-Toe – CAS, Builder Stamps, Pearls/Gemstones

SSS Work It Wednesday – Use a Simon Brand Product

Now, that wonderful visit.  I was thrilled a few months ago to get a note from my lovely friend Barb at Love2Colour that she and DH Cal were going to be making the trip from California to France for an amazing tour … and that they would be within a couple of hours of us during one of their overnight stops!  The timing was perfect (just a few days before I headed to the Lake House) … and on a sunny Sunday afternoon at the beginning of October, we met Barb and Cal at their hotel in Bordeaux.

anita-barb-1What a fun and delightful afternoon and evening we had together … and what a delicious dinner we enjoyed at a great restaurant recommended by the hotel concierge.  Barb and Cal … thank you … it was truly a joy to meet you … and to spend time together IRL.  One day, we may even get to do the same thing in reverse … what an adventure that would be!

Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy!  Anita 🙂

Lovely placement of the flower image, Anita – and as I love everything stripe-y (is that a word?), the B&W washi tape edge looks amazing!

Gorgeous pic of you and Barb! So cool to have been able to connect with her! Love your card – especially the black & white stripes at the bottom! Awesome sentiment font too!

My computer issues continue!!! Made some progress with MTS today and have actually been able to access a few blogs! Still no e-mail post notifications though. I’m not even getting JUNK mail!!! I feel so bad for being out of the loop! Work has been busy too, so I haven’t had any ‘spare time’ to catch up there either (dang it all!).

Back to the drawing board tomorrow afternoon with our internet folks. Ginfers crossed things go better than they have been to this point!

Great design with the splash of this wonderful pink bloom partially off the card as you’ve done here. Like the pink duo colors used for the flower, and adding the b&w border really sparked this up so nicely. Yay for you at being able to meet up with another blog buddy too. Isn’t that such fun when it can happen? TFS & Hugs

Hey Anita! Aw, that’s wonderful that you got to visit with a fellow crafter on vacation!! And spend much of the day together. I’m sure you were a lovely hostess. Gorgeous card with a good balance of delicate pinks and graphic b&w stripes. The leaf bleeding off the edge is another nice touch!

Late to the party again…so sorry about that. I did take a really quick peek at this the other day, but had no time to comment. And this is lovely. Such a lovely pink-on-pink blossom grounded by those wonderful stripes. Just love it!! Glad you were able to meet up with Barb, that’s very cool. It really is wonderful to meet up and spend time with crafty friends, isn’t it?!! Hope your cold is a distant memory by now, too. Thinking of you, and missing you terribly!
