Time Out DT #76, Addicted to Stamps & More #227, CAS-ual Fridays #166, Darnell’s NBUS #10, SSS Wednesday – 1 February, SSS Work It Wednesday – January

Hello … bonjour!  We’re starting a lovely new challenge at Time Out today … we’re ‘Inspired By Words’ … friends are connected heart to heart, distance and time can’t break them apart.  Here’s where I went with it …

time-out-dt-76Time Out

I stamped and white heat embossed the treble clef (thanks to Michele at CAS-ual Fridays) onto a watercolour panel, painted around the outside of it with various Zig Brush Markers, added water, and allowed the colours to blend into one another.  Once it was dry, I embossed the stave with a stylus, stamped that fabulous sentiment (from the same set as the clef) above it and popped the panel up on craft foam onto the card base.   A trio of Glossy Accent-ed die cut hearts finished it off.

Where will our words take you this fortnight?  You can use all or any of them to inspire you … we’d love to see your card in our gallery.  Our sponsor this time around is CAS-ual Fridays … our winner, as chosen by the the DT, will win a $25 GC and will also be invited to guest design with us in a future challenge.  All the details are over at the Time Out blog, along with plenty of creative ideas from our fabulous DT and our talented Guest Designer,  Jane from Purplejet Loves Crafts.  Do go and meander around Jane’s wonderful blog … there’s heaps of delicious CAS-ness to enjoy!

I’m playing along at …

Don’t you adore this sentiment…I do. It actually sings to me. Love that you used the treble clef to accent it so beautifully but that color blending is what grabs my eyeballs and brings such pleasure. You’re vision really makes this card exceptional.

The watercolor shadows around this embossed clef look so pretty. Especially like the shades of color you selected. Absolutely love that sentiment. Clever to add the score lines as you did with this Clef too. Well done! TFS & HUgs

Bon WE ! Bises
