Winnie & Walter 3rd Birthday Bash … Take 1

Hello … bonsoir!  I’ve loved Winnie & Walter since I first saw the sneak peeks of their stamps three years ago … and was excited to order three of their first four sets during the early hours (in this part of the world) when they released … and then won the fourth!  More acquisitions followed as more delicious releases continued … and in time, I was invited to Guest Design with them … and to be one of their Leading Ladies … such an honour!  So, it’s fair to say I have a soft spot for this fabulous company!  Congratulations, Shay, on three fantastic years … here’s to many more happy and successful years to come!  There’s a big W&W 3rd Birthday Bash that’s been going on for the last four weeks … it’s about to come to a close … and I’m just squeezing in at the last minute (or at least the final hours) with a few cards to share.  I’m splitting them into two posts … not because there are lots of them … it’s just that I don’t know how to link more than one card from the same post to the same challenge!  Here goes …

I blended a rainbow of Distress Ink colours through a stencil (cut from the Multifaceted Cutaway die) onto a white card panel, and cut and triple clear embossed the In A Word:Happy Cutaway in black.  The ‘happy’ was adhered flat to the panel and a supplementary birthday sentiment was nestled in underneath it.  The finished panel was popped up on craft foam on the card base.  My first card is going to …

Next up …

A white card base was embossed with a scalloped/stitched panel die from Essentials: Audrey Cutaways.  I cut gold, coral and pink hearts (from the same set) and popped them up on foam tape inside the framed panel.  The sentiment is from You’ve Got Love Mail, heat embossed onto a vellum strip.  A coat of Spectrum Noir shimmer was added to the coral and pink hearts … and a scattering a sequins finished it off.  This second card is going off to …

I’ll be back in just a few moments with the second installment … thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy!  Anita 🙂

That cutaway makes a perfect stencil, Anita, and your rainbow inking is so vibrant and well blended. The little hearts must have taken forever to line up. I love the colors you used.

Again, such beautiful entries for the challenges you’ve chosen, Anita! The W & W card is a perfect blend of bright, “happy” colours that are so fitting to the occasion of their 3rd Birthday – congrats to them (and you for being one of their Leading Ladies!). The 3-colour combo you chose for the little hearts card is so elegant – love how they just pop off their white card base!

Holy moley…after seeing these two stellar entries, everyone can see why Shay chose you to be a Leading Lady and Guest Designer. Thoroughly enjoyed both those stints but you’ve once again, topped them. What rattles around in that brilliant, beautiful brain of yours should be bottled and sold…maybe under the counter in a plain brown wrapper, because it is so extraordinary. Honestly, you must get so sick of being called a genius.

    Wow! Wow! Wow!

GORGEOUS background on your first card – the multifaceted jewel makes a beautiful stencil! Love the colors you used and how flawlessly they blend into each other! The black sentiment is perfect!

Second card makes “my” heart sing! Not only are your pretty hearts PERFECTLY placed but your scalloped border is does a great job of highlighting this gathering of love! Sweet little spot for the velum banner/sentiment 🙂

Impressionnant Anita !

Yes, W&W have a special spot in my heart, too! All of your Leading Lady and GD creations (as well as many others from over the years) are ‘copied’ into my “Anita’s Artistry” EverNote file as they are so laden with inspiration! I’ll be adding these two gems as well; they are absolutely marvelous! The rich rainbow colours of your first, applied over your multifaceted stencil, certainly make me happy! Your rows of hearts, tucked into the embossed panel (note to self: try this technique!) and sporting their sweet vellum sentiment, has completely captivated my heart! A dynamic duo, indeed!

I didn’t realize that W&W was so young! I remember well when you were leading lady and boy did I enjoy everything you made!!! I so wanted to buy some goodies, but it was at a time when Dwayne was going through his cancer stuff and I just didn’t take the time to buy anything. Wish I had as now I can’t afford to buy much now. But one day I will own some W&W goodies! lol I am in love with both of your beautiful cards Anita! The inking on the first one is amazing and I always did love that die you used. I also love your second card, I have some dies like what you used to emboss with and I think that is a fabulous idea! I will have to try that!!! Ok I think I have round 2 in my emails, I am getting my email notifications for your blog thank goodness, so I’m off to have a look see at round 2!! Have a beautiful weekend Anita!!! Hugs Brenda

Such a happy card – all those colors – it could not be any better!!!! The second card – you must have had too much time at hand – looks incredibly tedious to me….all those perfectly placed hearts! LOVE! Gold and pink is such an awesome color combo!

I remember that cutaway from your DT stint – looks great paired with the rainbow background, such a bright and happy card. I think the hearts are my favourite though…you’ve used some of my favourite colours. The frame finishes it all off brilliantly!
