Clean & Textured … And … Clean & Vibrant

Hello … bonjour!  I have a couple of cards to share today, both of which are pretty clean … though they are rather different from one another.  First up, a texture-y, soft, natural-looking little number …

A Lawn Fawn embossed edge panel, stencilled with Tumbled Glass DI and heat embossed in clear, with a couple of Concord & 9th‘s Layering Leaves arranged over the top … and anchored in place with a wooden dot.  The SSS hello was adhered flat alongside … and the panel was popped up on craft foam onto the base.  Here’s a close up of all that texture …

I’m playing along at …

Seven Hills Crafts – Sketch (see below … I changed orientation of my card, hope that’s ok!)

Where Creativity Meets C9 – Embossing (badge shows in draft, but not in post … sorry!)

Less Is More – Anything But Stamps

Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media – Texture

My second card has more colour and is more graphic …

Crisp and QACAS (quick and clean and simple in Darnell-ese) … a strip of rainbow washi tape along the edge of the card … and a stack of SSS die cuts (and secondary stamped sentiment), also in rainbow colours, taking centre stage.  Here’s the side view so you can see (at least a little better!) all seven of those layered colours …

This bright delight is heading to …

That’s it from me for the weekend … hope yours has been a good one!  Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy!  Anita 🙂

These cards couldn’t be more different, Anita, but I love them both! The first one would be perfect for a sympathy card – so soft and tranquil. The second is just so bright and happy!

I’m very drawn to the first – cannot resist a leave, or two OR grey in any way used! This one ticks all the boxes for me, Anita – though your rainbow washi is really fantastic! Happy you’ve had time to play cards!!! You earned that bit of play time… xx

How fun to see you playing for fun in all these challenges, Anita! I’m sure you’ll be in the winner’s gallery with each! That clear embossed background is brilliant behind the sophisticated grasses in your first card and your second card will make everyone swoon because, after all, who doesn’t love rainbows! The fact that you took the time to layer all seven colors of the rainbow in your sediment shows that you are always willing to go the extra mile to make your designs standout! Mwah to both!! LYAMYMAALSYBPIC!! Hope you had a great weekend!! Hugs, Darnell

Your natural-looking number is absolutely spectacular! Love the texture you have created with the stencil and those die cuts (on my wish list) and the sentiment finish everything off beautifully! It looks like all the colors ran to the second card and are shining extra brightly there! Fun!

i smell winners…the subtlety of the colors on the first card are both soothing and elegant, especially with that sweet embossed background. Simple with real impact. Then the time you took to diecut 7 words and stacking them in rainbow order was so very worth it. Juxtaposed against the awesome washi tape you can see how much impact it creates. Such a clever. talented girl. Lucky me to get a twofer in one visit…yay! Hugs.

Oooh ! Anita a encore frappé ! Bises x

Wow, Anita, these are both fantastic. I adore that soft colour palette on your first card, so much texture from the linen and gloss, I love it. And your second is wonderfully CAS but so striking with the rainbow washi and stacked die-cuts.

I’d seen these lovely cards when you first posted them, but I’ve been a bit wrapped up in what’s been happening around here. So as I settled him in next door and got to commenting, I had to stop and leave a little love, late as it is. That first card is stunning. I keep scrolling up to look at it, and love it a bit more each time I let my eyes wander around it. The colors, the shine, those leaf diecuts…it all works so beautifully on your card. Brilliant, if you ask me. And your fun washi rainbow card is exactly that – fun. Too clever to stack a rainbow in your sentiment, too. Dang girl!! Think of you every day, and miss your face (and the rest of you, too, lol)!! xoxo

I would never have thought to clear emboss stenciling, Anita, and it adds such texture and shine that I will be doing it in the future. In fact I’m pinning this card because I also have those leaves. The rainbow card is much different but such a cheerful birthday greeting and who doesn’t like QACAS.

Both beautiful in their own way. I love the soft colors of the first (BTW, some SG die cuts are on their way to your house) but it was the rainbow that brought me here. Wondered how the heck you’d stamped that! Washi. Brilliant!
