A New Challenge At Time Out – #101 – Inspired By Words

Hello … bonjour!  We have a lovely new challenge starting today at Time Out, where we’re Inspired By Words … Each day is a gift.  Open it.  Celebrate it.  Enjoy It.  It is indeed!  Here’s my take on it …

Time OutA one layer card, stamped and heat embossed with this gift bearing chickie (from SSS) and coloured with Zigs.  The Winnie & Walter happy sentiment was cut, ombré sponged with Distress Ink and set back into the card (the inside was lined) … and the birthday (from the same Birthday Farm Animals set as the chickie) was nestled in underneath it.  I finished off with some Lucy’s Little Gems … and added Glossy Accents and Enamel Accents to the eyes.  If you go in for a closer look you’ll see the shiny excitement in them … seems he’s all ready to start opening, celebrating and enjoying!

Where will our words take your creative imagination?  You can use any or all of them to inspire your card … we’d love to see what you make!  This time, we’re sponsored by Birch Press Design … our overall winner (as voted for by the DT) will receive a $20 GC … and will also be invited to design with us in a future challenge.  All the details are over at Time Out, along with a plenty of inspiration from our fabulous DT … as well as from our Guest Designer, my super talented and lovely friend, Michele from I Card Everyone.  You probably know Michele already … if not, you really need to!  There’s so much deliciousness to take in over at her blog, you really don’t want to miss out on a visit!  Enjoy!

I’m playing along at …

LOVE (and own) that chicken…perfect that she’s brooding on the gift waiting, with anticipation, to see what fortune has brought her. The juxtaposition of her and the bold “HAPPY” is just ideal for this challenge. Such a fun and pleasing birthday card.

Oh my stars, Anita! Talk about an absolutely adorable little bird (this coming from a person with bird terror!), with the most precious wonky-eyed expression! Fabulously cheerful card to speak to the powerful quotation! And it’s one-layer! WOW!!

Bises
