Hello … bonjour! It’s time to get excited all over again … our next Twofer Card Challenge starts right now! Thanks to your ingenuity and creativity, our first gallery was chock full of fabulous cards showcasing two different designs … for two different occasions … using the same stamps and/or dies. How about stretching those creative muscles again this month? This time round, our word prompt is … Here’s where I went with my Twofer …
The thing that these two CAS cards have in common is the Concord & 9th die cut heart … all the other elements are distinctly different. Here’s a closer look at each one …
Here, I made the hearts into delicate flowers … using just the outline cuts turned upside down and adhered along the centre line to a kraft card base. They’re folded up a little to add interest and dimension. The stems are made from very slender strips of cardstock, attached flat to the base. I white heat embossed a birthday sentiment from Winnie & Walter … and added a drift of enamel accent dots to mimic seed heads floating in a summer breeze.
My Twofer …
This time I used a series of whole hearts in my design. They were cut from a piece of card that had been rainbow watercoloured with Distress Inks … and were adhered flat to a panel of black cardstock in a graphic pattern. The Sending Hugs sentiment was made up of two dies from SSS and I added a Lucy’s Little Gem to each heart (to match the background colour). The panel was trimmed down and popped up on craft foam onto a white card base … the white border ties the white sentiment into the design.
Voilà … my two distinctly different designs … for two distinctly different occasions … using the same die!
So … will you let your creative imagination run wild with ‘Hearts’? We’d love to see your two distinctly different cards … for two distinctly different occasions … using the same stamps/dies … in our gallery! All the information you need, including timescales, guidelines, rules and FAQs, along with loads of fantastic inspiration from the wonderful DT … is over at the Twofer blog … it’s just a click away! Hope you can join us!

wow, wow, wow. Both are brilliant but I LOVE the rainbow of colours for your watercoloured hearts. Simply stunning 🙂 Thanks so much for playing along at Happy Little Stampers xx
Super gorgeous cards Anita! So glad you joined in the fun @ FUSION! Hope to see you again soon.
Anita, you Rock 🙂 Congrats on your card at WCW.
Hi Anita,
what very super twofer cards, and they are both brilliantly created.
Love them both as they are gorgeous.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Love the way you’ve turned these pretty leaves into pretty hearts! The white & kraft looks so crisp & clean. The bright row of ombre shaded hearts against the black, fantastic! TFS
These are so beautiful and gorgeously CAS, even with all the color. I love what you’ve done with the heart die!
OK you really “rocked the watercooler”. fantastic card you made 🙂
Hi Anita,
Thoroughly enjoyed your inspirations for Twofer … the upside down heart with the bits removed are the perfect flower. Hugs! Marilyn
Wow! How cute and creative!
These are beautiful designs Anita! I love the rainbow of hearts!
Two fabulous cards! Not sure which one is my favorite…but maybe the bright rainbow of hearts!
Simply splendid selection for Darnell’s TWOFERS inspiration

What a wonderful example of using the same die to make 2 completely different cards! I love the sharp contrast of both cards, with the delicate florals on kraft down to those wonderfully colored hearts in rainbow colors on black! Both cards are fabulous!!
J’adore ! Merci beaucoup pour l’inspiration ! Bises & Hugs xx
These are so pretty Anita! I love the bright white against the kraft – especially with those extra splatters – and the rainbow is gorgeous against the black background! Brilliant use of that die!
My goodness what a beautiful Twofer , I must have seen this on FB from Darnell. Both cards are so pretty! I love the white on craft with the white splatters …..both amazing, Anita! Hugs
Stunning cards. Love how they look so different.
Bonjour Bonjour Anita! Wow wow wow! Deux superbes cartes totalement different et totalement amazing! Merci pour l’inspiration! Bises depuis -10 a Ulm… jamais je penserais dire cela mais le chaleur de Toulouse me manque…Hugs Gwendolyn
I love what you did with the die cut hearts on the white on Kraft card – it is beautiful. I also like the bright colours of the other card.
Ya know, I saw this kraft lovely but I don’t think I was here to see the rainbowed hearts. Only now do I realize that those flowers were hearts! I thought they were some wonderfully delicate flower dies! What a twofer! We’re still wearing hats and mittens here though the sun continues to shine brightly!
Anita, You never cease to amaze me with your designs. I love both of the cards! They are just gorgeous!!! Thanks for joining us at Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies!
Both cards are amazing! The hearts as flowers was a perfect idea, and then the watercolored hearts popped into black cs is amazing and bold!
Many Congratulations with the shout out for your fabulous card over at The CAS Water Colour challenge x
