A New Challenge At Time Out – #109 – Inspired By Words

Hello … bonjour!   Joyeux Fête de l’Ascension … Blessed Feast of the Ascension!  Welcome to a delicious new challenge at Time Out … this fortnight, we’re inviting you to be Inspired By Words … friends are the charming gardners who make our souls blossom … I was inspired thus …

Time OutI focused on the first and last words … friends and blossom .. and made a one layer card using the gorgeous Flourish stamp set from Concord & 9th … a long-been-in-my-wish-book, recent addition to my stash.  The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti.  To finish, I added a scattering of sequins, some of which cover a smudge made just as the card was finished.  I’m so grateful for sequins, gems and all other kind of boo-boo covering embellishments!

Where will our words take your creative imagination?  You can use any or all of them to inspire your card … we’d love if it you joined us in the gallery.  We’re sponsored by STAMPlorations this time round, thanks to Shery  … our overall winner (as voted for by the DT) will receive a $15 GC … and will also be invited to design with us in a future challenge.  In addition, there will be a random draw for a STAMPlorations goodie bag.  All the details are over at Time Out, along with a heaps of lovely inspiration from our fabulous DT … as well as from our wonderfully talented Guest Designer, Kristina from Kristina’s Art Corner.   Why not pop over for a visit and enjoy a gentle meander through all the scrumptious cards and awesome colouring over at her blog … you could say hello while you’re there too!

I’m playing along at …

Oh I love this. I have been looking closely at the flowers and the use of the colours is amazing-I guess it is one of those layered stamps that I just have no luck in using! Adore how you stamped off the edge…I always love to do this and think it makes great use of a large stamp-super card Anita x

All those lovely shades of lavender give great dimension to your one layer card, Anita. I’m with you sister on the boo boo covers. They’ve kept me from going bald. 😉

You had me at friend and garden…they are so much alike. When nurtured they both grow exponentially. Such a lovely representation of them on your gorgeous cards. Truly beautiful…of course, purples always make me smile but what’s really apparent here is your flawless eye for design. (Heaving heavy sigh)…something I’ve always aspired to.

Anita your cards never disappoint. I love how you focussed on the first and last words … friends and blossom for your focal points. The colouring is amazing and isn’t it interesting that those sequins can hide our boo-boos, I cover my unwanted smudges that way too. Awesome!

Your comment about smudge covering sequins made me smile – this is a tactic that I have used a few times myself 😀 You card is one-layer wonderful- your purple blooms are artsy and beautiful – I love it!

I can’t believe I haven’t commented on this one either!!! Absolutely love your stamping here. I often look at this stamp set online and think it might be difficult to use but the way you’ve stamped here makes it look like child’s play!! Amazing design and colors.
