A New Challenge At Time Out – #113 – Inspired By Words

Hello … bonjour!  We’re starting a fresh new challenge at Time Out today … this fortnight we’re Inspired By Words … smile, it’s the key that fits the lock of everybody’s heart … here’s where my imagination took me …Time OutSome Mama Elephant letters (from my unused items box, which is miniscule!), sponged with Distress Inks, stacked up and adhered to the card panel to form the ‘smile’ part of our quote.  The little balloon bearing chick is from Stampendous and was coloured with alcohol markers … and the supplementary sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.  I added Wink of Stella to the balloon and to the letters and coated them all with Glossy Accents.    Voilà … a cute CAS card that I hope will have you smiling!

Where will our words take your creative imagination?  You can use any or all of them to inspire your card … we’d love if it you joined us in the gallery.  We’re sponsored by Stencils by Funky Fossils Designs (thanks, Sarah … here on instagram!) … our overall winner (as voted for by the DT) will have their choice of three stencils from the store … and will also be invited to design with us in a future challenge.  All the details are over at Time Out, along with a heaps of lovely inspiration from our fabulous DT … as well as from our talented Guest Designer, Amanda from Diamond Lane Designs.   Do go and visit Amanda … you’ll have a lovely time wandering through all the yummy cards over there!

I just love this CAS design-the large ‘smile’ and the tiny sentiment all glossed up and in smiley colours. You are expert at using the glossy accents, it always ends up a mess when I do this! Super take on the quote x

Apologies for being MIA on your blog for so long…lots of bike races/traveling keeping me hopping…and I seem to keep leaving my creativity ‘somewhere’, which means not a lot of visiting as I *try* to keep up with DT tasks. All good, in the big picture…just means I’m running behind in pretty much everything. As you know…LOVE everything you design and, hopefully, the thought-bubble messages make their way to you!
Your smile card is a 110% success…I’m mega-watt smiling in seeing it! Seriously, how cute is your little bird with his birthday balloon, perched atop the letters! Love this!

How is it that you bits always look planned? Are you using your wand to color coordinate them? Maybe it’s not you brain I need to borrow but your wand and your magic spell book. Anyway, you succeeded in creating a simply delightful card. I’ve fallen completely in love with that little chick. So much so, that I probably have him somewhere in my considerable stash.

If that cute little chick can’t make everyone smile nothing can, Anita. He looks right at home atop the die cut letters. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Just Us Girls.

Ooooh, j’adore ! Superbe ! Merci beaucoup de partager et de jouer avec nous à Less is More. Bises et Hugs

I’m so sorry I forgot all about this delightfully sweet birthday card, Anita! I saw it on the main website and meant to come over straight away and then, well, you know a birthday and a national holiday got me all spewed up! (Hammy look at her face. Is she buying this excuse?) I do love, love, love it! It is CASlicious to the max, colorful, and enchanting! What more could you want from a card?!! (I’m afraid to scroll backwards and see if I’ve missed any others …!) ILYAMYMA … HTMYS! Sending big hugs, Darnell

Oh Anita I owe you a long, long letter. All is well just too busy and not doing much with my blog or even acknowledging entries from my favorite people. Things will slow down shortly. This card is oh so cute and like everyone else has stated the chick is the cutest. Somewhere I may have one and it might be patriotic. Hope the homestead is coming along as you like. Hugs, Barb
