Hello … bonjour! Our new challenge at Time Out has just gone live … we have a Home Sweet Home picture to spark your imagination … and it’s delicious (a little further down). Here’s my take on it …
… and here’s the fresh, relaxing, easy-going inspiration …
My attention was taken by that dreamy picture on the wall … and by the display on the table in the foreground. I sponged a white card panel with Distress Inks (antique linen, tumbled glass, salty ocean) and spritzed/splattered it with water. The Concord & 9th die cut leaves mimic the candle and storm lamp … and I stamped/heat embossed the vellum banner to make it seem as though the sentiment (from Simply Graphic) was written in the sand. My ‘beach pebbles’ on the banner were created with Nuvo Glitter Drops. The finished panel was popped up on craft foam onto the card base. Voilà … fresh and airy with just a hint of sparkle!
What sets your imagination in motion in our Home Sweet Home photo … the crisp colours, the stripes, the textured furniture, the picture … or something else completely? Whichever way you’re inspired, we’d love to see what you create in our gallery! Our winner, as chosen by the DT, will receive a $15 gc from our terrific sponsor, STAMPlorations (thanks, Shery!) and will have the chance to guest design with us in a future challenge. In addition, a randomly drawn player will win a goodie bag of stamps and dies from the store. All the details are over at the Time Out blog … along with a heap of gorgeous cards from our fabulous DT and from our talented Guest Designer, Heather from Wire Wrapture. Do pop over for a visit with Heather … you’ll find all kinds of fun and delicious cards and projects to explore!

So pretty, Anita. I adore the colors and the softness of the blends on the card. The use of Nuvo drops for pebbles is genius! I thought you used beads at first. Such a lovely card. Thanks so much for sharing. 🙂 Hugs!

Your card takes me to the beach – where I’ll be heading soon 🙂 That is a great inspiration, though it’s the stripes that caught my eye first. My graphic brain! Have you recovered from the celebrations yet?!? Did Macron proclaim free champagne for all?!?
Yes so fresh and airy. Wonderful inspiration photo and such a great take on it. Love how you’ve picked up the painting on the wall, the cute pebbles, the die cut leaves to mimic the lamp and candle and then to finish it all off with the vellum sentiment as if it was written in the sand…genius x.
Gorgeous beachy card to celebrate an annivesary. Love the soft colours and the vellum sentiment banner, Anita! xx
That is a really dreamy picture on the wall~just like our weekend in Monterery! You captured it beautifully with your card, Anita, and I love the way you picked up the candle lamp and pebbles as part of your design! And the whipped cream on top? Creating your sediment on vellum so it looks like it was written in sand! So thoughtful and well-executed!! LYAMYMA … CDYLM! Hugs, Darnell xxoo

This is so pretty! Light and airy! Like it so much better than the inspiration picture!
If this were a bigger format it would be perfect hanging on a wall, Anita. The scene is so soft and soothing and I love the addition of the water washed pebbles.
I can see where you drew your inspiration from Anita! I love your take off the picture hanging in the inspiration photo! I love your ink blending, it is perfection and give the feel of a beach perfectly. I think I can feel the nice warm breezes and the warm sand on my toes. lol Love how you let the “plant” mimic the candle and the storm as well. Such a beautiful card my friend! Hugs, Brenda
