Hello … bonjour! Our fabulous new challenge starts this morning at Time Out. This fortnight … We Challenge You To Be … Joyful! There’s aren’t too many things more joyful than Christmas … so that’s where I went with our theme …
I stamped and gold heat embossed the berry sprig and main sentiment from Uniko (Originally Organic, All Occasion Sentiments 4), plus the supplementary sentiment from Simon Says Stamp. The sprig was coloured with zigs, had the berries Wink of Stella’d and covered with Glossy Accents … and I added a scattering of red gems over the already embossed gold dots. They appear dark in the photo for some reason … IRL they’re a good match for the berries. Voilà … a one layer QACAS (quick and clean and simple in Darnell-ese), joyful, Christmas card!
Where will our challenge take your creative imagination … to a joyful occasion, as mine did … to to something bright and happy … to a joyful melody … or elsewhere? Wherever it takes you, we’d love to see what you create! This time round, we’re sponsored by Uniko (thanks, Bev!) … our winner, as voted for by the DT, will receive a in stock stamp set of their choice … and as usual, will be invited to guest design with us in a future challenge. All the details are over at Time Out, along with plenty of fabulous inspiration from our wonderful DT … and from our super talented Guest Designer, Chrissie from Simply One Of A Kind. Why not pop over and have a meander through Chrissie’s blog … she has the most delicious CAS cards to enjoy!

Anita, your card is lovely. The red and green go nicely with the gold embossing. I love the clean look of the card and its cool that you were able to make a “non” holiday stamp perfect for the season.
The little colouring makes this card so interesting! A beautiful CAS-one again Anita! Hugs, Gerrina
Such a pretty card, Anita. I really like the berry sprig. Such a pretty shape that adds a lovely movement to the card. Beautiful colors on the card. It looks wonderful heat embossed in gold. Every detail is just so and it looks wonderful!
This is such an elegant design Anita!
What a mod lyrical mistletoe and berry flourish you have there, Anita! It has such great movement flowing over your shiny gold sediment! Great timing on my part to post my own JOY card this morning; I’ve just gone back to edit and add TIME OUT! Love it when it works that way! Hope you are doing great! LYAMYMA!! Happy Holiday Hugs! Darnell
I don’t comment enough on blog posts and I should. I really wanted to tell you how beautiful I think your card creations are and how much I admire your sense of restraint when designing.
I do so love how you’ve used this wonderfully organic stamp and made it Christmasy x So elegant and CAS perfection x.
Using the simple sprig is genius! Coloring it in Christmas colors and adding some gold embossing makes such a lovely design!
AWESOME card, Anita. LOVE it!
You had me at berry. What a beautiful non-Christmas but totally Christmas-y creation.
Clearly, your joyfulness was in godd supply on this lovely card. Just love how clean it is while being so festive. Awesome work Miss Anita. I’d chat more but, like everyone else in the cardmaking business, I’m trying to complete mine. Hugs.
This is beautiful Anita! I like the way the leaves and berries have the same arch and movement that the sentiment font does. This is CAS elegance!
a beautiful clean and simple design, anita! love the festive touches of red and green combined with the gold embossing! (thank you so much for the lovely birthday card!)
CAS and absolutely BEAUTIFUL Anita! LOVE the gold with the red and green…definitely a festive card and oh so lovely!! :0)

I’m admiring your one layer CAS wonder of design. It really appeals to me. Thanks for joining our Christmas challenge at Inkspirational.
Absolutely gorgeous card, Anita! Beautiful coloring with your Zigs and I love your CAS design! Love your color palette, too…thanks so much for inspiring us to play along 🙂
I’ve had this stamp/die for quite a while – definitely a favourite – but I’ve not used it for a Christmas theme! After seeing your gorgeous ‘stylized mistletoe’ rendition, that is certainly going to change! How lovely it is in red/green, framing the Christmassentiment! Pure delight; fabulous festive! Thrilled, too, that you shared this gem in the Inkspirational gallery!
hugs~c
I do not know why I haven’t bought this stamp because I adore it every time I see someone use it. Making it Christmas greenery was such a great idea, Anita, and the gold embossing adds to the festive feel.
Beautiful card Anita, love the how the image flows into the sentiment, gorgeous colouring too, this card will bring loads of joy to the recipient! Cathy x

I never thought of this stamp as a Christmas stamp but it works perfectly the way you colored it! Beautiful CAS card!
Beautiful, Anita! What a gorgeous sprig, and your beautiful scripty sentiment is wonderful!
So simple and elegant and with the red berries adding a Christmassy feel. I hope you had a relaxing Christmas and enjoyable week in between the Holidays. Now the daily grind begins again. Another year… hopefully better than the previous one, at least for me……
It’s amazing how Glossy Accents really adds something to a CAS card isn’t it – those berries look good enough to eat!
