A New Challenge At Time Out – #125 – Inspired By Words

Hello … bonjour!  Hope your Christmas preparations are coming along nicely … or are even complete … for those well organised souls among us!  Over at Time Out we’re starting a fresh new challenge today … this fortnight we’re Inspired By Words … Celebrate…Friends…Family…Life!   Here’s where I went with our words … celebrating the Greatest Gift of All …

A one layer card … with the bottom third masked off, I stamped the starry background in Delicata silver and gold, courtesy of two turns of the Concord & 9th Bitty Burst Turnabout.  The Holy Family in the stable and the sentiment come from Hero Arts … and were stamped using Tsukineko Brilliance Black … the stable into the space between the ‘stars’ … and the sentiment grounding the scene.  It’s deliciously shimmery IRL … though of course I couldn’t capture that with my photo!

Where will our words take your creativity?  You can use any or all of them to inspire your card … we’d love if it you joined us in the gallery.  We’re sponsored by STAMPlorations (thanks, Shery!) … our overall winner (as voted for by the DT) will win a $15GC … and there’ll be a random draw from all the entries for a goodie bag of stamps or dies.  As usual, our winner will also be invited to design with us in a future challenge.  All the details are over at Time Out, along with heaps of scrumptious inspiration from our wonderful DT … and from our uber talented Guest Designer, my lovely friend, Michele from I Card Everyone.  Pretty sure you’ll know Michele and her always amazing cards … if not, you need to!  Either way, do pop over for a visit … enjoy a gentle wander through all the gorgeousness on offer … and say hello while you’re there … you’ll love it!

My Christmas card is joining in at …

Oh and this wonder is on my mantle piece, shining brightly. I adore how you grounded it with the sentiment and all that shiny gold and silver starts-a delight. And you still haven’t told me the secret of stamping so well on this card? x

WHAT a BEAUTIFUL card!…I LOVE IT! ♥♥♥ I am surprised how beautifully the Graphite Black worked…reminding me that I have neglected it of late. It ‘married’ perfectly with the Delicatas. Thank you, Anita, for the Gift of Joy, Inspiration and the warm ‘Hug’! Merry Christmas to you, in all its Fullness, from the bottom of my heart! ♥

The essence of Christmas, conveyed most beautifully, Anita! The stars truly are shining brightly over the miracle of Jesus’ birth! It is because of His gift to us that we also receive the gift of ‘you’…a talented, sweet, wonderful person, so willing to share your creativity and, especially, your friendship with us! Thank you for being simply amazing and generous!
My Christmas cards will ‘finally’ be sent tomorrow; our recent trip to Edmonton saw mom and sister-in-law taking all my cards, leaving me rather empty-handed but bursting with joy that those selected will be finding ‘good’ homes! We returned late last week and straight to my crafting room! A bit frantic but ‘stretching’ the season a bit longer does make me merry! Keep an eye on the mail, sweet friend!
Wishing you a most blessed Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with all things great and wonderful!
    hugs and love~c

I am so late to the commenting party this time around, Anita. This card is so beautiful – capturing the beautiy and the essence of Christmas. I hope your was lovely. Thank you for your wonderful card. Once again, I was so overwhelmed with things in my own world, I did not get cards out in the mail as I had planned. I love the one you sent to me. You are such a dear person. May you have a happy and healthy 2019. Hugs, Stephanie.

Again, you are a terrible enabler Anita – I’ve never even seen those Turnabout thingies! I wondered how you’d managed to stamp the background in different colours. What a great CAS Christmas card!
