Hello … bonjour! Welcome to a very special Time Out … it’s our 5th birthday! Congratulations to Sandie and to the whole Design Team … it’s an honour and a joy to have been on this wonderful journey with such a committed, talented and delightful group of crafters! We have an ‘Inspired By Words’ theme for you this fortnight … hugs, kisses and a lot of birthday wishes. Here’s where I went with it …
As you can tell from the Joyeux Anniversaire (Happy Birthday) sentiment, my focus was on the lots of birthday wishes part of our Inspired By Words phrase. Those charming wildflowers are from Pink Fresh Studio, simply stamped into the corner of my card and loosely watercoloured with Zigs. I did some splattering to create the sense of pollen drifting on the breeze over a summer meadow … and embossed the Simply Graphic sentiment onto a snippet of black card, which was popped up on foam tape.
Where will our words take your creativity? You can use any or all of them to inspire your card … we’d love it if you played along and celebrated with us in the gallery. We’re sponsored for our 5th birthday by STAMPlorations (thanks, Shery!) … for this very special occasion, there’ll be a $50 GC for our winner … who, as usual, will also be invited to guest design with us in a future challenge. All the details are over at the Time Out blog, along with heaps of lovely inspiration from our fabulous DT, and from our uber talented, colourist extra-ordinaire Guest Designer, Kara from Bright Hope Creations. Do go and enjoy a mesmerising visit with the lovely Kara … you’ll find so much amazing creativity and wonderful videos to explore … and you can always say hello while you’re there!
I’m playing along at …

This is just stunning Anita! I love those wildflowers and it indeed looks like pollen floating along in the breeze. I can actually feel the sun shining on my face and the warm breeze caressing my skin! Wishing for spring to hurry up and get here and your cards helps me to have a little patients. Besides, it’s not like I can make spring come any faster. lol Hugs, Brenda
Oh so Spring-y (which we all could use right now) and fresh. Another perfectly lovely card showing your brilliant skills with color and design. I can almost feel the pollen finding it’s way into my nose. Seriously, a gorgeous birthday cars.
It’s not a car…it is a cards. Pardon my fat fingers.
Bises

Beautiful, Anita! I love the whimsical style of the flowers and your watercoloring looks great -adding the splatters adds a lot of detail! My favorite type of sentiment too… I always adore white embossing on black card! 🙂 xxx
Do you know that in September it will be five years since you and I joined the team together?? Isn’t it amazing how quickly times goes by and I can still remember us emailing each other being so excited about joining a DT!! How far we have come since then, your cards just get better and better and this one is exquisite!! So perfect for our birthday and I’m so glad you shared it with us too at The Flower Challenge. You’ve turned into the Queen of Splatter and have encouraged me to try it more often too. Sending you lots of hugs team-mate!! xxxx
Your beautiful splashing looks perfect for these stunned flowers. A black banner with sentiment completes the project perfectly

I love this – the colour combo is definitely giving me Spring vibes (really needed right now!) and the spatters across the panel are the perfect finishing touch. Hugs, Jill
This is so arty – it really should be framed. And the splatters are the perfect detail…if I’d done that, they’d have ended up splodged all over the image!
As usual another beautiful card. I like that it us stamped off the page.
Your card is very joyeux, bursting with wonderful color and perfect splats!
