Hello … bonjour! We’ve arrived at the 10th of the month … which means there’s a fabulous new challenge just started at Twofer! This time we’re asking you to get busy with …
… here’s where I buzzed off to …
… a sweet anniversary card and a lush birthday card … with the common image on both from a retired WPlus9 set called Birds and Bees. Here’s a closer look at each one …
Clean and simple … the bees, their heart shaped flight trail and the sentiment (Simon and Papertrey) were stamped and clear heat embossed. The bees were coloured with alcohol markers, I added Spectrum Noir shimmer to the wings and the heart … and topped the heart with a layer of Glossy Accents. The frame was cut using an irregular rectangle die from Simply Graphic and was popped up on craft foam.
My twofer is another conventional use of those cute bees …
… buzzing about in a verdant Pinkfresh Studio garden. I stamped and watercoloured the two sets of Lush Greenery images … one direct onto the card base, the other on a separate piece of card. The latter piece and some craft foam were cut with the matching die (thanks, Darnell!), I stacked the two together and adhered them to the base. The bees flew in from their hive in the meadow at the end of the garden and are checking out the best places to find a tasty morsel … there must be lots to sample … just look at all that pollen floating through the air! The main sentiment is from Pinkfresh Studio (Bird With Flowers) … can’t find it on the website so p’raps it’s retired … a similar one is here. The supplementary sentiment (Simon) was heat embossed in white on a strip of black card and popped up on foam tape.
How about joining us with some bees of your own … we’d love to see you in our gallery! All the details about how to play along are over at the Twofer blog … together with heaps of splendid inspiration from the DT. We’re delighted to have the super talented Coni from Witch Craft? as our Guest Designer this month … welcome Coni! If you haven’t met Coni yet, do go over and have a gentle meander through her blog … there’s so much to see and enjoy … and be inspired by! Even if you are familiar with her work, why not pop along anyway … you can always say hello while you’re there!
My love struck bees are buzzing off to …

Super cards Anita and show your creativity to perfection. I just love that second card-love the popped up layer-superb!
Anita, your buzzing bees make such a cute anniversary card. And your second card is such a summery feast…I can hear those bees buzzing and smell the lovely blooms. Fabulous twofer.
How absolutely BEE u tiful! I’m loving the buzz here this morning, Anita! I have LONG admired that gorgeous PF garden! Wow do I love your coloring and color choices. Those two love-bugs have obviously had happy trails together, ‘cuz love is in the air!

Wonderful cards, Anita! I like your use of the bees. The heart shaped trail made me smile in delight. Thank you for sharing your wonderful cards.
Bises and Hugs xx
Bee-utiful cards, Anita!! Such a sweet anniversary card – I do love the little heart between those cute little bees. And the perfect popped up frame to draw the eye right in – Great card, my friend. Love the bee-attracting garden you’ve created for our flying friends! Just had a sneezing fit…must be all that pollen floating around, haha! LOVE those flowers. Your coloring is perfection, too. I hope to have a few minutes later today to drop you an email…it all depends on my ‘duties’ around here. xoxoxo Miss you so much!
Lovely, lovely, lovely…so much to say and love about bees. So happy that they like our garden. You’ve honored them well with your 2 cards. Simply adore the anniversary card with those sweet critters locked in their love dance…I’m swooning over that heart trail. And then there is the garden of earthly delights for them to play in on your “just bee-cause” card. So pretty and appropriate for the bees. Another delightful visit to your always inspiring blog.
Both of your designs are so pretty, Anita! I love the romantic framed anniversary card with the heart trail and the schparkle and glossified accents just where they should be! And your lush greenery is giving the sweet bees a field day (sorry, couldn’t resist!) of happy pollinating! Clever you to actually spew pollen into the air to prove your point and make your design even prettier! And on a personal note, thank you for the inspiration of stamping one half of the two-stamp set on the panel and then popping the other one over the top for the most amazing dementia! MWAH! LYAMYMA WIWT! Hugs, Darnell xxoo
Love your cards, Anita, especially the anniversary one. Quite lovely!
Both cards are wonderful Anita and such diverse use of the fun ‘Bee’s x. Love the heart trail on the anniversary card and the layering and stamping on the beautiful birthday card x. Stunning inspiration…..Thank you x.
What can I say…you have outdone yourself again. I love them both equally…thanks for the inspiration.
Your CAS anniversary card is wonderful with that popped up frame and those bees buzzing together in a loving formation! I love the clean white with the focus on the bees. Your garden of flowers is amazing, especially with the dimension of the foam to create a double layer! Those bees will have a field day there! A wonderful twofer, Anita!
Two wonderful cards Anita! Your anniversary card is just as sweet as can bee (sorry, I couldn’t resist!) and I love the heart shaped flight pattern you created! And your floral card with all the dimension is absolutely BEAUTIFUL Anita…I’m sure those bees will definitely find some treats among all those beauties! Two lovely, lovely cards my friend!! :0)
Yes, these bees are definitely happy, that is such a beautiful garden and the cas version with the heart is fabulous!
What wonderfully sweet takes on this month theme, so perfect since it’s BEES! The anniversary card is so charming with the little heart. And I love that gorgeous greenery. You’ve made it even better with great dimension and floating pollen!
Oh Anita the bee stamps are the cutest I have seen. Usually the bees look like real bees, not cutesy. The flight path shaping a heart is so cute. Hope all is well. Barb
Two simply wonderful cards, Anita! You have the perfect bees for an anniversary card with their flight trail forming a heart. Love the simplicity of that card. At the same time, I adore your verdant layered garden with the pollen floating in the air. Cute and colorful!
I love how you played with this darling stamp set, Anita! Your border of flowers on the first card is really lovely and the heart between the 2 bees on your anniversary card is the perfect ‘romantic’ touch! Thanks so much for inspiring me to play along, my friend! Barb xx
Fantastic card designs and wonderful use of the bees too.
Two marvelous cards Anita! I like the pretty little flowers garden you’ve given the bees on the first one and the lovely simplicity of the second!
What a delightful scene you’ve set on that birthday card and that pollen in the air is a stroke of genius! I just adore the second anniversary card though and especially the heart shaped flight trail. Is that stamp discontinued? I can’t find it at Simon Says Stamp, though Lawn Fawn has something similar. I have been wanting to make a bee-themed wedding/anniversary card ever since my niece’s wedding when they gave the guests personalised honey pots with the sentiment “meant to bee”! Hopefully I’ll have time to play along (I do love bees) – life has been so hectic lately!
Thanks, Kate, I’ve emailed you! Anita 🙂
2 gorgeous cards Anita! I love the garden scene, clever design with the popped up layer of greenery. Those little bes are adorable, Cathy x
Both cards look beautiful! Favorite is the one with the flowers, but that is just while I’m not wild on bees on cards and so…think they are best in nature and RL…:) That’s why I don’t use them a lot… Hugs, Gerrina
Oh how absolutely glorious is your second card! I just adore that layered panel at the front and the whole verdant Spring/Summer garden vibe going on. Thanks so much for sharing this beauty and playing along with our water colour challenge at AAA Birthday.
Super awesome cards, Anita. Love the simplicity and style. Thank you for playing at ATSM!
Hola, Anita! I love both cards, but your bee/flower card is spectacular!! I LOVE IT! Hope you are well. =)
Wonderful set of cards, Anita! The anniversary card with the two sweet bees is so clever and sweet! The multilayered garden is delightful!
As always, your cards are amazing and inspiring, Anita. LOVE the sweet CAS anniversary card. Perfect in every way. And your garden birthday card is gorgeous with the beautiful colours of the leaves and flowers. Love the dimension from your layered garden and all the bees flying around enjoying the loose pollen floating through the air. Fabulous!! xx
Two wonderful bee cards, Anita! Just love your lush flowers with investigating bees on card one and the darling bee couple on card two!!
These are AMAZING!! I love the simple anniversary card that you created but that second one with the gorgeous flowers-STUNNING!!! Now I have to look through my stamps to see what I can come up with!!!
What a cute pair of cards Anita that make a fabulous twofer. Love the CAS design on the first card and the second card is just stunning!
Hugs

Stunning cards, I love them both! Thanks for joining our AAA Birthday challenge!
Both of these are absolutely delightful! The bees are sooooo cute, the only kind I am not scared of! Sorry I have not commented for so long and thank you so much for commenting on my room. xxx
Beautiful cards, and those colorful flowers are just gorgeous along with your sweet bees! I’m still looking for bees…
Two gorgeous cards! Thanks for joining us at Happy Little Stampers Watercolor Challenge
Your Twofer cards are always a delight! No exception here! Especially the little garden you created, buzzing with bees. We for sure need those insects and bees.
I love those little bees buzzing through the colorful, pollen filled garden, Anita. They and their anniversary friends with the darling heart trail are so cute.
I love your “Blühfläche” for those bumble bees! I am sponsoring a part of a flowering field for the bees with proceeds from cards I sell so this card just makes me smile wide!
