Some Spring Flowers

Hello … bonjour!  First today, I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who left such lovely comments following my final Time Out Design Team cards/post … they were soooo appreciated … you warmed my heart and had me smiling all over my face … merci mille fois 🙂 .  In answer to a question that came up a few times … yes, I’ll definitely still be making cards … and will still be around in blogland … just not at Time Out (except as a player that is!).  So, onto a couple of cards (which is why you’re here!) … they both feature sunny spring flowers … and will be going into the galleries of various fun challenges that are going on at the moment.  Here’s the first …

… a simple stamp-layered, colourful, one layer card using an older image from Concord & 9th (Flourish) … and a sentiment from Simon.  This clean, whimsical, bright card is heading to …

My second card is more layered … though it is still clean …

All the images and the sentiment here are from Papertrey (One Big Happy and Birthday Cheer).  The Happy Birthday was heat embossed in platinum onto a panel of white card … and popped up onto the base.  The stamped and die cut flowers and leaves were then arranged above and below the edges of the panel, some flat to the base, others popped up on different layers of foam tape.  This card is going to be playing along at …

Wish I had a birthday coming up Anita as both of your cards are absolutely beautiful! Love the CAS look of your one layer card with the lovely soft but bright Spring colors, and your 2nd card with the 2 borders of fresh sunny flowers is just as delightful as the 1st card! You definitely brought a smile to my face this morning! Take care my friend!! :0)

Phew! What a relief to know that we’ll be seeing you around cyberspace. What would I do without your inspiration and talent to behold? Like both of these floral cards. The clean lines of the first add so much to those sweet, colorful images…just lovely. And the second, is a WOW! that, though clean, brings joy to my heart. It’s so festive and happy, perfect for a birthday

So creative and beautiful. You will be missed at Time Out, but it’s always good to make changes once in a while. xx

Layering two ways – genius as always ! The forst one is so YOU! I think I could pick it out in a line-up! Looks like a lot of work went into the second card, but totally worth it!
