Time Out DT #39 Mid Challenge Reminder, Make The Day Special – September, Virginia’s View #18, SSS Wednesday 9/9, Word Art Wednesday #200

Our ‘Make Your Mark’ challenge over at Time Out is just about half way through … and I’m popping in with a card as a gentle reminder that you still have almost a week to play along with us … if you haven’t already (or even if you have … you can come back for more!).  This graphic little number is what I came up with …

Time Out DT 39R, VV 18, MTDS September, HLS CAS SeptemberTime OutI repeatedly stamped an image from Avery Elle‘s Modern Leaves onto a white card panel, trimmed it to size and coloured the leaves with Promarkers.  A black panel was white heat embossed with the Avery Elle Brushed sentiment, trimmed to match the white, and attached to the leaf panel.  I covered the join with a slender strip of grey and popped the whole thing up onto fun foam on the card base.  I tried valiantly to add bling … but there wasn’t a sequin, gem, pearl or dot that felt needed by the cool graphic style … so I just let them be!

How about showing us where your creativity takes you with this theme … you can use any type of marker or crayon … and there’s an optional monochrome colour palette twist.  Colouring can be as intricate or as simple as you want to make it … as you can see from my card, I went very simple!  We’re sponsored this fortnight by Uniko … our overall winner (as chosen by the DT) will win a £15 evoucher … that’s in addition to being invited to be a Guest Designer for a future challenge!  All the details are over on the Time Out blog, along with heaps of inspiration from our talented Guest Designer, Marika from Me and Minime Crafting, from some of the Design Team at Uniko, and from our own amazing DT.  Look forward to seeing you in the gallery!

My card comes to you courtesy of …

Virginia’s View – Geometric Patterns … my second entry

SSS Wednesday – Use a Stamp … leaf and sentiment

ETA – Thanks to Karen who is on the DT (thanks for the invitation, Karen!), I’m also playing along at Word Art Wednesday, where there’s a celebration going on for the 200th challenge … congratulations!   The team are hoping for 200+ entries this time, so if you have chance to link up a card to help achieve this aim, that would be wonderful!  Oh, and there are prizes to be won too, if you need any more incentive to get creative!  (Karen, I’ve tried to leave a comment on the blog, but it keeps being rejected for some reason!)

Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy!  Anita 🙂

Another gorgeous, graphic card from you! Love the colors and I always admire your precise stamping and coloring! My cards, on the other hand always look “handmade” because there are always little flaws…

Graphic gorgeousness here. Love how you used that stamp set–which I own and have been stumped by forever. Love your color scheme and the pattern you created. Also, this post alerted me to the fact that my post was mis-scheduled, so thanks for that, too.

I love the graphicness (okay so that’s not a word but you know what I mean) of this, Anita, and the randomness of the classic color combo is perfect

This is awesome! I would never have had ‘the eye’ to look at this image, and think to use it as you did. I look at the finished card and think this belongs in a museum of modern art, hanging on a wall. It’s just splendid, and could be either masculine or feminine. A perfect card for nearly any occasion too. You’re definitely an artist!!! Love the monochromatic feel of the graphic image. TFS & Happy Sunday.

Your graphic little number is ever so snazzy; bling not needed, because those grey/yellow images stand well in the spotlight all on their own! Simply fabulous!

Amazing!! You’ve totally changed those leaves into something else by colouring them in a striped pattern. Such an eye-catching design 🙂
