Time Out DT #21 Mid-Challenge Reminder, SSS Wednesday 24/12

On this truly special day, I wish you a very Happy and Blessed Christmas!  I’m popping in with a mid-challenge card for Time Out … our theme is Inspired By Words … ‘Christmas Is Love With All The Trimmings’ … how appropriate for today!  I made this card …

Time Out DT 21 MidTime Out

On a panel of white card, I stamped the Inkadinkadoo scene and coloured the Holy Family, stable, and Bethlehem with alcohol markers.  The glow in and around the stable, and the night sky/foreground were sponged with chalks, and the star and halo around the Infant Jesus were coated with a layer of Stickles.  I masked the card base, sponged a black border and popped up the finished panel on foam dots onto it.

If you haven’t played along with us so far (you may just have been doing other things!!), we’d love you to join us (or have second helpings if you have played along!).  There’s already a gallery of fabulous cards and our awesome GD, Shirley, plus the talented DT have plenty of inspiration for you over at the Time Out blog.  Hope to see you there!

I’m playing along with …

SSS Wednesday – Anything Goes

Once again, I wish you a very Merry Christmas … may you be surrounded by and enjoy the company of those you love and hold dear!  Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy!  Anita 🙂

Just breathtakingly gorgeous, Anita. Very sorry to not play along… even first servings! We also have another birth we celebrate close to Christmas… my granddaughter Drew was born today, 7 seven years ago… she’s my little “stinker” in the photo I shared with you – and just has a very special place in my heart.
Looking forward to all your loveliness in 2015!

Hope that you were able to have an incredible Christmas surrounded by peace and love my dear friend. And speaking of love, this card is full of just that. Beautiful and soft image. Love the purple night. Love the glow of the Heavenly Child. Really, really pretty. Am trying to get back to “normal” again, and should have time soon to drop a line. Plan on cleaning out the ‘Christmas Closet’ while the tree is still up…hopefully only one days work! Happy New Year sweet Anita!! Bisous, bisous!

A very belated ‘Merry Christmas’ from a very hot and dry New Zealand!!! I hope you had the most wonderful Christmas with your family and friends. Did Santa bring you any craft goodies?? Did you eat your weight in chocolate like I did (although I haven’t stopped yet….)? Did you get any snow?? I hope it was everything you wanted. We have been running around outside a lot as the weather has been so warm. A lot of swimming and scooter/bike riding which has resulted in us all becoming very tanned. I’ve eaten so many cherries I think I look like one now but its only once a year. I really hope you have a happy and healthy 2015 and can’t wait to see what wonderful creations you come up with next year. Take care my friend!!!!

Oh my….this is soooo pretty Anita! Your coloring is flawless and the sponged sky is amazing! The chalk creates such a beautiful soft finish, especially for the ‘glow’. Truly incredible!

Speaking of incredible….my card arrived today! Thank you so much! You have no idea how thrilled I was to actually HOLD this magnificent creation in my hands! It is a masterpiece dear friend that made my heart sing!

I’m going to pop the card into a picture frame so that its beauty will be preserved behind glass and treasured for years to come!

Anita, seriously, this is just divine! The glow you achieved on the nativity is beautiful. It’s always nice to see a religious Christmas card, since that’s what it’s all about like Kim said above. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, and best wishes for a fabulous 2015!!
