We’re half way through our joint Time Out and Uniko Studio challenge, and I’m here today with another card inspired by our Home Sweet Home photo (below) …
This time I was inspired by the cushions … those bright colours against the light sofa … and the graphic shapes. The image is from Papertrey’s Ombré Builders, stamped repeatedly along the lower part of the base card … the top part was masked beforehand to guarantee a straight edge! I cut a white ‘you’ (SSS), coloured it black (no black card!!), adhered it over the colour blocks, and stamped the ‘hello’ (WPlus9) in Versamark ink. I coated both with a liberal dose of Wink of Stella.
If you were here last week, you’ll know that this joint Time Out/Uniko Studio challenge is a bit special as there are prizes up for grabs!
- Just by linking up your photo-inspired card to Time Out, you’ll be in with a random chance of winning a £15 Gift Voucher from Uniko!
- You get a second chance to win a £15 Gift Voucher by heading over to the Uniko blog and leaving a comment there!
As usual, and in addition to these goodies, the overall winner (as voted by the DT) wins the chance to be a Guest Designer for a future challenge! So, if you haven’t yet played along (or even if you have), we’d be delighted to see you. There’s plenty of inspiration over at the Time Out blog … from the fabulous DT, from the super talented Chrissie from Simply One Of A Kind (our GD), and from the wonderful Uniko DT. Hope to see you in the gallery!
I’m playing along with …
Virginia’s View – Clean Slate (one layer and lots of white space)
Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy! Anita 🙂
Fabulous design. Great idea to colour the ‘you’ also gives the card a little dimension x
I love those gorgeous stripes!
Love the rainbow of stripes – a really neat way to combine the feeling of the woodgrain with the colourful pillows!
Love how you were inspired by the cushions ! Your pretty ‘rainbow’ colors have me yearning for a fresh spring rain…and spring like temps! Fab bold sentiment! I was sure that the ‘hello’ was a diecut as well, until I read your post! Gotta love that Versamark ink (thanks Kim!!!)
If I could, I’d have dozens of pillows to interchange with the season! Love your delightful take on this inspiration, Anita… I am way too literal!!!

Fabulous card Anita. Love how you’ve taken the inspiration from the cushions and interpreted it with your ombre builders in those gorgeous colours.
Hugs.

Wow, what a fabulous card Anita! I love how your “pillow’s” turned out and I just love your “”hello you”. Hugs, Brenda
Great take on the inspiration! The stamp reminds of the threads in the pillows!
Stamping on that linen paper really give the look of fabric, Anita. I love this interpretation of the sketch.
So beautiful how the paper gives the stripes extra depth! And the diecut and stamped part look like they belong together! Hugs, Gerrina
Anita what a gorgeous card, I love the ombre builders bottom, I haven’t inked that pattern up yet.
Love how you worked in those colours! Clever and perfect :). Love the big bold sentiment…not a die cut?!
Hello, Anita! The stamping is absolutely gorgeous ! Love the placement with the sentiment, too. Beautiful composition all around! So glad that you join the fun over Virginia’s View “Clean Slate” Challenge!
This is so fabulous. I did not even recognize that ombre builder stamp–so happy to see that I have it. Love how you have inked it. And, the way you did your sentiment–just brilliant.
WOW, what neat stamping, Anita!!! Love the soft colours with the bold sentiment!!!! The font of the ‘happy’ and the die cut ‘you’ go together so nicely!! Such a lovely cheerful card, Anita!!!!
This is lovely, I love how the black sentiment pops against the perfectly stamped rainbow stripes 🙂
Those PTI stripes look gorgeous….I think I have this set in my NBUS! Another fab CAS design, Anita 🙂
I love how you played with the Ombre Builders, Anita! The crisp, clean stripes look fabulous with the scripty font of the alphas and the colors are fabulous!
another fabulous interpretation of the inspiration photo, anita!
Your stamping is so precise Anita – bet you wouldn’t have got it that straight after a couple of glasses of red! Looks wonderful with the bold sentiment!
Anita…another show stopper I have to say! Love your wonderful design. Wishing a craft filled weekend.
Wonderful rainbow of gorgeousness!! I loved the cushions too, wish mine were this colourful. Years of children and dogs seem to have discoloured them ever so slightly……..
My weak heart! Look at those stripes!!!
The rainbow of stripes…amazing! I need to see photos of how you manage to keep lines straight, because even with masking, thing-a-ma-jigs and rulers, my results are always askew! Happy sighs over your pretty card!
