Time Out DT #25, Simply Create Too #79, SSS Monday 16/2

Our shiny new challenge starts today at Time Out … this time we’re ‘Inspired By Words’ … and our words are ‘Rock Around The Clock’.  I focussed on the clock … look …

Time Out DT 25Time OutDandelion clocks!  Remember blowing the seeds off and making a wish when you were little?  I do … soooo many wishes!  This stamp set is from Clearly Besotted … stems stamped first, dandelion heads stamped in two colours each and the seeds stamped floating off in the breeze.  The flowers were coated with Wink of Stella and each seed had a touch of Stickles added to the middle.  The sentiment was dressed with a tiny sequin and a couple of gems and the panel was popped up on foam tape on the base card.

What do you think of when you hear the words ‘Rock Around The Clock’?  Let your imagination wander a little … and when you’ve settled on an idea, why not get creative and play along with us at Time Out … we’d love to have you!   All the details are over on the Time Out blog, along with heaps of inspiration from our wonderful and talented Guest Designer, Hazel and our amazing DT!  Look forward to seeing you in the gallery!

I’m joining in with …

Awesome card! Hmmm…did I see this stamp at the Lake House?! It’s really delightful, and your creations with it are always beautiful. I’ve got a photo of 2-year old Grant blowing and wishing on dandelions. Your card brought that memory forward and memories of summer, which right now would feel pretty darn good! Bitter cold here today! So a perfect card to post my dear sweet friend! Hope you’re still celebrating (well, you will be as my card to you will be late. sorry) Missing you. Bisous, bisous. xoxo

Amazingly beautiful Anita!! I love these flowers, ok, I know people hate them and call them weeds, but I honestly do not hate them. I have always loved them, love the yellow flower against the green grass, love the fluffy white seed heads and blowing them. My neighbor doesn’t like them and doesn’t like them in my yard because the seeds blow to his yard. lol The only place I don’t like them is in my flower beds. So your card has rocked me around the clock and took me back to when I was a kid playing with these little beauties!! Love, love this card! Glad you had a great birthday Anita!! Hugs, Brenda

Hey there pal! What a party…eh? Kind of wondering if the two carpenters have showed up at your house yet? Va Va Voom!

Your card is gorgeous! The different colors blend together beautifully! I’m quite sure that I can feel the gentle wind that has given flight to the seeds. You have magically captured “wishing” …

I’m sorry I’m so late getting around to visit and comment on this wonderful post, Anita! I love those puffy dandelions, full of seeds to blow to the wind (but not in my yard!), but I have never heard them called clocks! I think it’s really cool and your card is – guaranteed – another winner! It could NOT be more fabulous in any way!! I hope you have had a great weekend, still celebrating your birthday! Mwah! Miss you! Hugs, Darnell

I’ve loved every card you’ve made with this stamp set, but I think this is a favorite! I adore the colors and your interpretation is fantastic. And happy belated birthday!!! I truly was just thinking about your birthday a few days ago, but I thought I had one more month. When I read your post today I realized I had the wrong month because we did the hop last year the month *after your birthday. Ack. I’m so sorry!

I admire your ‘thinking out of the box’ to create your look for this challenge. It certainly rocks, because you have got the time element just so imaginatively. Love the bold colors, the graphic images and the texture of the background dp, not to mention the clever use of the dies. So much imagination to create a stunning CAS card. Love it!
