Time Out DT #55 Mid Challenge Reminder, MFT Sketch #278, Little Tangles #67, SSS Wednesday – 27 April, Virginia’s View – Link Up Party

Hello … bonjour … hope you’ve been enjoying your week!  I’m popping in with another card for our latest challenge at Time Out, which still has almost a week to run … so there’s plenty of time to play along if you haven’t already!  Even if you have, we’d be happy to see you coming back with more!  Our theme is Celebrations …with the Optional Technique Twist of Die Cutting /Fussy Cutting … here’s my second take on it …

Time Out DT 55RTime OutNothing like celebrating a friendship … in full colour!  These rainbow strips evolved … I heat embossed the ‘fabulous amazing terrific awesome fantastic’ from CAS-ual Fridays‘ Truth Is set repeatedly down a piece of watercolour card stock … brushed a thin stroke of Zig marker through the middle of each one … and ran a wet brush over them, line by line, allowing the colour to merge and flow.  After some discussion with myself about how to use the piece, I trimmed it into strips, popped three up on foam tape on the card base … and adhered a Studio Calico die cut over the top … covered liberally with Wink of Stella, of course.  Want to see?

Time Out DT 55R DetailSo … will you play along?  You can celebrate anything you wish on your card … and we’d love it if you joined us in the gallery! This fortnight we’re sponsored by CAS-ual Fridays Stamps … not only did owner Michele provide the DT with yummy goodies to play with (thanks so much, Michele!) … she’s also giving away a US$25 gift voucher to a randomly drawn participant who uses the Die Cutting/Fussy Cutting twist!  All the details are over at the Time Out blog, along with plenty of delicious inspiration from our amazing DT and from our wonderfully talented Guest Designer, Elizabeth Stewart from Paper Sweetness.   Hope to see you there!

My card will be celebrating over at …

MFT Sketch – see below … with a small gap or two!

Little Tangles – Die Cutting … sorry,  I have no N&T die cuts … yet!

Your card looks like it was a lot of work – but well worth it. Love the rainbow strips of tiny embossed sentiments, and when you add that larger “friend” diecut over top, this makes for one fabulous card for someone special.

Wow, this is one cool card Anita! I love how you used your Zigs on this one, the colors just blend so nicely. At first, before I read, I thought you blended distress inks so imagine my surprise when I read that it was the Zigs! lol I love how you cut apart the works and popped them up on your base and attached the friend. Such a great friend card and oh, I love the glitter with the wink of stellar! Hugs, Brenda

You continue to amaze me with your artistry. This card knocks me out….who doesn’t love rainbows, pats on the back and friendship? I might name a couple, but I pretend they don’t exist anyway, so who cares. Seriously the best card and a sure winner.

You are fabulous, amazing and terrific. I don’t know if I’d have the patience to stamp those little sentiments over and over, and I know of a certainty that they wouldn’t be in such nice neat rows. Yours is rather impressive – stamped and embossed and ziggied up too. Turned out beautifully. Really a very cool card!! Have a wonderful weekend sweet friend. Miss you!!!!!!!

Yep…you definitely have more patience than me (and apparently Bev as well) and also a steadier hand that I have to PERFECTLY stamp this many images! Really cool rainbow inking technique. My fav on this card is the beautiful cascading rainbow waterfall that you have created! So cool.

Your designs always astound me, love the shapes and the fabulous colors & placement on the front of a card. Seems so simple – why didn’t I think of it? This one is just fantastic, as always. Love the ombre rainbow effects with the white lettering, and stunning arrangement of the rectangles. Brilliant to add the die sentiment atop it all! TFS & Hugs

What’s so wonderful about this card is that it is absolutely fresh and innovative! I adore it, Anita! You make it look so CAS and easy, but I know that this took a lot of time and precision and thought! The care factor is over the top! My mouth dropped open in a VERY unladylike way when I saw this!! Pinning! MYMA! Hugs, Darnell

Another breath-taken-away delight, that impresses not only with the gorgeous finished product, but the means by which you arrived there! From the repeated stamping (ever so straight!), to the markers, to the 3-panel split…spectacular! And I agree: friendships are most worthy of celebration…especially the one I share with you!
