Time Out DT #57, CAS Mix Up – May, HLS Mixed Media – May, SSS Work It Wednesday – April

Hello … bonjour!  How’s your week going … wonderfully, I hope!  There’s a new challenge at Time Out starting today … it’s running alongside the special birthday challenge for Sandie that started on Monday (CAS with the option of purple … are you joining us?).  This fortnight we’re Inspired By Words … ‘may all your weeds be wildflowers’ … isn’t that just lovely?  Here’s where I went with it …

Time Out DT 57Time OutThis is a QACAS card (Quick And Clean And Simple in Darnell-ese) … the background is a gorgeous texture-y piece of DP that was in my stash (you know that will have been there a loooooooong time considering how little DP I use!) … I adhered it flat to the card base, added a sparkly SSS die cut and white heat embossed the secondary sentiment from Avery Elle.  Voilà … may all your weeds be wildflowers, my friends!   Here’s a close up view …

Time Out DT 57 DetailHow will this lovely phrase inspire you?  You can use any or all of the words to get your creative imagination going … and then play along!  There’s a prize this time round as we’re sponsored by Clearly Besotted Stamps … the overall winner, as voted for by the DT will win a £15 gift card!  All the details are over at the Time Out blog, along with creative cards galore from our fabulous DT and our super talented Guest Designer, Julia from der kleine klecks … hope to see you in the gallery!

I’m playing along at …

CAS Mix Up – Heat Embossing … plus die cutting and textured paper

HLS Mixed Media – Shine … plus die cutting and textured paper

SSS Work It Wednesday – Flowers … final entry

Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy!  Anita 🙂

Don’t know whose dp that is, but I totally understand why you’ve kept it! It’s incredibly gorgeous. Clever of you to match it up the shimmery die. This is exquisite and swoon-worthy, my friend. Gorgeous.

Love the shade of this DP background, looks fab with the white embossing over top of it. Especially liked the sparkle of the big dimensional sentiment too. What a beautiful design and the neutrals are very soothing too. TFS

In between a few DH duties, and I so wanted to stop by and see what you’ve created. Not disappointed one bit; in fact, purely delighted! This is such a lovely card, dear friend! LOVE the dp you’ve used for this. It’s such a beautiful color. And those ‘wishing dandylions’ are amazing. Reminds me of the day I showed Grant how to do that….. Missing you and hoping things are going well. Take care.

I am so loving this card Anita! The inspirational sentiment, “may all your weeds be wildflowers” is just perfect!!! There’s beauty in all things, we just need to look for it. I have a stamp set like this I just go and so will have to try making a card like yours. A CAS! lol I think I am one of few that loves dandelions, bu their yellow flower against the deep green grass is just so pretty to me. I also love when they turn to seed heads, because how fun and magical is it to blow the seeds and puffs off?! So I’m always showing my grands much to my neighbors dismay. lol Hugs, Brenda .

I don’t have anything as lovely as this paper in my stash box. Well even if I did I would never have created a card as lovely as this one. Good job. 🙂 Barb
