Time Out #9 (Fun In The Sun), Hero Arts #Summer (One Layer Card), SSS Wednesday 9/7 (Let’s Be Clear) STAMPlorations #July (Stamps and Glitter)

The weather here so far this summer hasn’t been what it usually is … we’ve had a lot more cloudy, cooler days and thunder storms … and yesterday it rained … ALL day.  So I made my own sunshine …

Time Out 9, Hero Arts Summer 2014, SSSW 9-7The sun and rays are from Avery Elle, stamped in Hero Arts and Memento inks … with the lighter yellow covered with Stickles.  I stamped the HA sentiment, coated the ‘dazzling’ in Wink of Stella and added a scattering of sequins and gems.  Here’s a close up of all the shimmer … mmm, isn’t that better …. much warmer!

Oh wow Anita – this is amazing……..I can feel the sun shining strongly! What a wonderful card. Love your use of Stickles on the yellow rays and WoS on the “dazzling” – brilliant. Hope the weather picks up for you soon, forecast 30° forecast here on Thursday……knowing our luck it will probably snow!

    Hugs.

Our sunshine has been lacking too and although the rain has been missing us and everyone around us getting it, it has been clouding from all the rain. We are getting some nice rain right now which we desperately needed. Temps have been low but dew points and humidity have been very high so it is very tropical feeling but the pool water is very cold. Can’t win around here. lol It seems the weather is weird all over the world! But your beautiful and warm card sure does bring the sunshine right in!! I love it Anita!! The shimmer and sparkle is so wonderful and yes, I’m a sun worshiper when the sun is out around here. lol Thanks for being sunshine to my cloudy day!! Hugs, Brenda

Truly dazzling, Anita – you see rain is good for something! I am ALWAYS happy when it rains here – we don’t get so much of it…..although its raining right now (and thundering), yeahh!!! I even got my daily summer swim in before it started!

What a beautiful card! Aren’t we lucky that we are able to create our own sunshine? But I wish you that the real sun will start shining down on you again soon!

    Ahhhhh….warm, shimmery sunshine….where’s the beer?

Great sparkle & shine! The background paper seems to have a sheen to it…did you emboss it? Great design – the sun’s rays draws the eye directly to the sentiment and the vibrant pop of black! Yep…winner, winner

And you could hook up at STAMPlorations July stamps and glitter too. I know what you mean about the summer, but I’m kinda happy we haven’t been having the hot and humid stuff. Today was actually a “dazzler” – maybe it’s coming your way. Off to catch up on some much needed sleep;) Very happy to have welcomed the champions home (via the TV) today 🙂

I need one of these cards at my house….its freezing at the moment!! Big frost in the morning I suspect but luckily its the holidays so we can stay in our pjs until it warms up outside. Gorgeous card and you stamped it so perfectly…how did you do that?? I’ve never used Stickles before but think I must get some because it looks so glittery over the ink. I know what you mean about the weather. Someone said to me that there is no clear difference between the seasons anymore, I thought about it and realised its so true. When I was a kid Summer was boiling hot, Winter was freezing cold and Spring/Autumn inbetween. Nowdays you never know what weather your going to get….good old global warming certainly seems to be playing with it all very well.

Once again, I’m late…darn ol’ appointments and busyness and YKWs!! I did see this when you posted it. Sounds like your weather is much like ours. Rarely do we see more than a day or two without RAIN. And it’s cooler here too. Your card is just the ticket to help make it feel like summer. Rich, golden yellows and shimmer and shine. This makes me happy. Love this. Make more!!!! : )

Can’t think of anything better to do than make a card when the weather is bad, hey!!! And what a lovely sunshine card you have created, Anita!!! I love the sparkle and the balance between the orange in the top left corner and the sentiment to make this a stunning card!!! The sequins and the bling are placed perfectly and round off everything so nicely!! Love your card!!!
Hope that your weather will be better soon!!!

A terrific card. I love how bright and cheery card is. Love the sparkles too.
Until the middle of June I thought winter had forgotten us. The weather was unusually warm. But then it turned nasty and COLD.
