Time Out DT #48R, Simply Create Too #101, SSS Wednesday – 27 January, SSS Work It Wednesday – January, Uniko #28

Hello … bonjour … hope you’re having a wonderful week!  We’re half way through our latest ‘CASE … With Your Own Twist’ challenge over at Time Out, where our CASE designer, the amazingly talented Marika has given us a beautifully coloured, delicate and delightful floral card as our inspiration (a little further down).  This week, I’m tempting you to play along with a seriously CAS twist on the original …

Time out DT 48RTime OutHere’s Marika‘s stunner …

I stamped the two step Papertrey roses onto a trimmed down white panel, double stamping the leaves just round the edges to add depth, added a few coats of Wink of Stella to the blooms, and nestled the sentiment (also Papertrey) in close to the image.  The panel was popped up on craft foam onto a base that’d been dressed on two sides with some slender strips of striped DP.  I was inspired this time by Marika’s floral image, the colours and the placement of the sentiment … my twists were the inverted layout, the popped up panel and the ultra CAS style (which was positively QACAS … Quick and Clean and Simple, to quote the lovely Darnell!).

So … are you tempted to play along and make Marika‘s card your own?  I do hope so … there’s still plenty of time to join in!  All the details are over at the Time Out blog, along with a heap of inspiration from our fabulous DT … see you in the gallery!

My QACAS card is heading over to …

Love the bold colour of the flowers, which draw the eye immediately to them Then one notices all the lovely little details – like the texture on the white cardstock, the fabulous soft grey DP peeking out on 2 sides, and the perfectly stamped sentiment. CAS perfection, Anita!

    Seriously sweet stripes!
Seriously in love with this card!

Love the depth you achieved by stamping around the outer edges of the leaves!

PS…sorry, no matter how hard I tried I could not simplify the last sentence to a bunch of S’s!

Once again, an imaginative and so pretty take on the inspiration card. Love the rich coloring of the 2 posies, which look stunning with the slim stripe along the side border. Very CAS and very striking as well. TFS & Hugs

My dear Anita: yet again, I’ve fallen behind in commenting, as February is transforming into being as, if not slightly more, hectic than January! My apologies…but here I am, joining the 35 ‘on time’ folk ahead of me, gazing in admiration at your sweet QACAS roses! So pretty, especially with the lovely textured paper and delicate grey striped edges…Happy sighhhhh…
    Hugs~c
