Hello … bonjour … hope you’ve had a fabulous week so far! Our wonderful new challenge starts today over at Time Out and this fortnight, we’re Inspired By Words … ‘Wherever you go, no matter the weather, always bring your own sunshine’. Isn’t that a delicious quote … we probably all know someone (or lots of someones) who do just that … especially in our corner of blogland … and they’re a joy to be around! Here’s where I went with it …
I die cut a MFT circle into a white card panel and embossed the two sides with a stitched border from Lawn Fawn. The Avery Elle sunburst was stamped in yellow into the negative space, I added the Papertrey sentiment, and topped that with a double stamped SSS yellow heart in the centre. The panel was mounted on fun foam onto the base and I adhered some tiny die cut hearts (Winnie & Walter), coloured with Promarkers. The heart in the sunburst and the tiny ones were covered with lots of Wink of Stella and a layer of Glossy Accents. Here’s a closer look at the shimmer and shine …
I was struck by another idea with this fabulous sentiment, so went ahead and tried it out … like to see the result?
A hand drawn Zig marker striped background in grey, the Papertrey sentiment stamped onto a MFT pierced rectangle (masked so I could make the ‘shine’ yellow), a yellow Papertrey sun burst top and bottom and a SSS heart stamped in canteloup over the word heart. The ‘shine’ word, sunbursts and heart were Wink of Stella’d, the word was clear embossed (yay for MISTI) and I popped the panel up on craft foam over the stripes. You can see the detail a little better here …
How will our ‘Wherever you go, no matter the weather, always bring your own sunshine’ phrase inspire you? You can use any or all of the words to get your creative imagination going … and then just play along! All the details are over at the Time Out blog, along with creative cards galore from our fabulous DT and our super talented Guest Designer, Sue from Foleys Friend … hope to see you in the gallery!
The first card is heading to …

Your cards are both wonderful, loving how your image and sentiment fit so perfectly in the negative space on your first card, it’s fabulous!
I was wondering where I could get that beautiful sunburst with the heart in the centre and you’ve done all that with stamps that aren’t even from the same company. Brilliant !!!!
These are just beautiful Anita – what a gorgeous PTI sentiment..I’ve never seen that one before. The little, shiny hearts are adorable, a perfect embellishment. And what a great background with those Zigs..I thought you’d used a stamp!
Both your cards are gorgeous! That sentiment is wonderful! Love the stamping in the negative space circle on the first one and the cute little hearts. Love your background on the second, such a cool idea! Wishing you a day of kindness and shine! xxx
Two absolutely beauties. The sweet little trail of hearts on the first one is divine.
☀️❤️
Oh my friend, I really needed these beauties this morning … and to take all those words to heart, too!! LOve the little yellow hearts, and grey stripes? Yes! thank you! xx
=]
Lovely how you’ve directed the focus to that wonderful sentiment in both of your cards, Anita! So classy with all the little details you’ve added, too.
I LOVE both of your cards!! The first one with that little sunshine peeking from the circle with the sentiment-oh so lovely. The second with your hand drawn stripes and the way you used that sentiment as the focal point-amazing. Really nice design!!
Two absolutely beautiful cards…they sure have brightened my day! Love that gorgeous yellow, so pretty.
Hi Anita, both cards are lovely. I agree the sentiment is very special and applies to card makers. I also like the die you used on the side of the card. Have a great week. 🤓 Barb
beautiful set of cards, anita!! so bright and fun… (and yes… I see the similarity between our cards! great minds do think alike, lol!!)
Hi Anita! You made two beautiful cards today! Love the yellow and the sentiment is perfect! Sorry I have been behind with being gone for a bit.
I can’t choose a favorite!…I love both of them. Your design work is always amazing and creative…so inspiring! Reading the comments, you have clearly touched the hearts of many today…including mine! Thanks for the sunshine! Blessing to you! 🙂
Two really gorgeous cards, Anita! I love the quote, and how you placed the darling yellow hearts on the first card, and how you created your own stripes on the 2nd one! Both cards would bring sunshine and smiles to their recipients! Thank you so much for your inspiration!
Well, you had to know if it was yellow, that I’d be there with bells on. The inspiration words are…well,…so inspirational but no more than the sentiment you chose to use. Honestly, made me a little teary-eyed, it’s so beautiful. But how you enhanced those words is nothing short of spectacular. The shimmery sunshine burst, the sweet little hearts…be still my heart. Then to dazzle me even more, the second card with grey stripes with the yellow (all time favorite color combo, that I don’t use enough)…now my heart really was beating a happy tattoo. You outdid yourself on these two masterpieces, my friend.
I love your sunshine, Anita! Both of these cards are amazing! I love all the shimmer and shine of the 1st one and how the sun shines off the stripes in the second! Thanks so much for sharing these with us at CAS Mix Up!
OMG Anita…your creativity just blows me away my friend! I LOVED your 1st card and awesome quote and then I scrolled down and there you had a 2nd card with the same quote and equally as beautiful and creative, but very different. Thank you so much for sharing both cards and joining us again at CAS Mix Up. A great big Hug, Nancy
Love both of these happy and inspiring cards. It’s fun to see you do two totally different things with the same sentiment.
These are so warm and toasty, Anita! No one does golden sunshine with that linen card like you do!!! They are hugs made of paper!! LYAMYMMA! Hugs, Darnell
The sentiment is so super! And I really like both cards with it! The first is perfect for TO and the second could easely be sent to a man aswell… Two stunning cards! Enjoy the weekend!
I love how you’ve added so many special touches to each version of your card using this fantastic sentiment. Both are so creative and they are sure to bring joy to whomever receives them. Great job Anita! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up! xx
Oh, how beautiful your cards; how touching those sentiments! Looks like a number of us need some sunshine in our lives…and you’ve delivered in the most heart-warming of ways! Thrilled to see you in the ATSM gallery, too! I’m working my way in reverse to catch up; apologies for my late appearances (seriously, where does the time go!)
Hugs~c
Wow Anita, both cards are simply amazing and so cheerful! I am really loving that sentiment and I love how you used it on both of your cards. So different they are but yet the message is loud and clear. Although I am more partial to the first card the most! Hugs, Brenda
Such a beautiful sentiment and showcased perfectly on your two cards! Both are CAS masterpieces – as always! I am getting challenge envy – with all those DT’s I am on I barely find time to play in challenges…..oh well, I guess I can’t have it all 😉
Anita both of your cards are so fabulous, I love the first one with the sunburst inside the negative! You nailed so many challenges–well done! Desperately trying to catch up I have not been able to visit all my crafty crushes much lately, I don’t where time is going!
Your interpretations are fantastic and sweet, again! The tiny hearts, the cool, grey stripes… And I absolutely love the sentiment!
Your cards are gorgeous! Love what you did with the sentiment on both cards! So pretty!
Both cards are absolutely gorgeous Anita – the way you used that sentiment stamp as the focal point on both is absolutely brilliant – same stamp but such different cards. Love them both!
Two wonderful cards, Anita! Your sunny sentiment puts a big smile on my face and I love the CAS style you used – Clean and Stylish!
That is such a wonderful sentiment and you’ve showed it off to great advantage, Anita. Adding shimmer and shine is definitely appropriate when talking sunshine. 🙂
Grand work on both these sunshine, happy cards. Loved the way you’ve used the narrow stitching on the borders of #1 with the yellow bursts of the falling hearts into the sunrays circle. So much emphasis on the sentiment with this design layout. #2 is amazing too, with the gray stripes (so even!) and the simple placement of this fabulous sentiment. Like the way you’ve done the sunburst top & bottom, with the heart in the center of the sentiment here. Perfectly beautiful CAS on each card. TFS & Hugs.
Wow, two stunning cards, Anita! Beautiful cards with beautiful words. Thank you, I will check out the Online Card Classes! x
Hi Anita!! I’m playing catch up after our vacation. I took a run through your blog to see all of the prettiness I missed!! I especially love Darnell’s birthday card and the hamster pictures!!
Oh, WOW, both of these are simply stunning, Anita!!!! Love all the cute little shiny hearts and how you’ve done the sun on both cards!!!! The stripes on the second card are lovely and I like the way you’ve spaced them not evenly!!!! I have to go back for another look!!!! Both so cleverly done, my friend!!!
Have a great day!!!

Bonjour, Anita! Wonderful cards that really show great ways to focus on the sentiment! Love how you layered images, sentiment, wink of stella, and even glossy accents all in the same focal point for your first card. Such great depth of design!!
Hi Anita – I love your beautiful cards and the sentiment is gorgeous! Your designs are so clever too xx
Two fab makes Anita, love the glossy accented hearts.
Thanks for sharing at ATSM this week. 🙂
Anita, these are both gorgeous! I love the sentiment in the negative space on the first card and the fabulous shine on the hearts. And the little details you added to the sentiment on the second card are so sweet. I love how fabulously different these are!
Love what you have created in both of these beauties, Anita! The Rays on your first and those tiny floating hearts…so dreamy and happy! Loving the striped background on your second card as a beautiful stage for the sentiment.
Hugs and bisous 😘😘😘
I love both your cards. The first one for the simplicity and the second one for the hand drawn stripes, I love the bleeding effect it gave! You have one new follower!
Two lovely cards Anita! Those sweet falling hearts to the beautiful framed quote is just perfect! I’m so in love with that sentiment & the way you have beautifully highlighted it in both cards.

Two delightful ‘sunshiny’ creations that made me smile! The white space is definitely partly responsible for the smiles, but so are the bright colors and the sweet designs! LOVE the wee orange heart in the second card – such a sweet little ‘extra’ 🙂
Oh my goodness Anita, this really took my breath away! Stunning. Amazing. Brilliant
