Spritz, Splatters, Dots and Stripes!

Hello … bonjour … bon dimanche!  Today, I have a few cards to share, inspired by plenty of different challenges (badges at the bottom), so I’ll keep the chat short and sweet!  First in the line up, a delicate little libellule (dragonfly … isn’t it pretty in French!) …

A base card, masked, sponged with Distress Inks, spritzed with Shimmer Spray and white heat embossed with a WPlus9 sentiment.  A white panel splattered with Distress Inks, split and popped up over it, with the lower part stamped with a secondary sentiment (from the same WPlus9 set). A Clearly Besotted libellule, cut in vellum (shimmered) and white, hovers over the ‘water’ as the sun glints on the scattering of rainstones.  Here’s a detail shot …

Next on stage, a bright, summery, almost one layer little pretty …

The flower is from a lovely fresh set from WPlus9, it’s stamped direct onto the card base, and has had white highlights and glossy accents added to dress it up for a party (it is a birthday card after all!).  It’s grounded on a strip of white highlighted striped washi, under which sits a WPlus9 sentiment, and has been very delicately splattered with Distress Ink.  This is appearing at …

Third in the spotlight, a ray of sunshine …

You may be thinking this looks familiar … and you’d be right.  When this card was made, it was ultra clean and embellishment free … this second one (started at the same time) has put on it’s party outfit … now it glows!  The extra’s include an ombre sponged sentiment, all shimmered up, lots of splattery party confetti, and jewels in the form of Lucy’s Little Things (thanks, Judith!).  This is partying at …

Finally, after all that sunshine, a cool, fresh, calm card to finish …

A white panel, stamped with a Papertrey Ombre Builders background in grey, two Concord & 9th leaves, die cut from a piece of smooshed-with-greens watercolour card, and adhered flat, and a sentiment from SSS.  The panel was popped up on craft foam on the base.  This is joining in at …

Such delicate cards! Its Libelle in German, so quite similar. The water splatters and “watercolory” background are just perfect for this amazing insect, as it likes to fly around lakes and rivers! That sunny flower for sure will brightens anybodies birthday! Of course I remember the first card you did. I had to look at it again and I must say I am just a big fan of splatters and the ombre yellow “happy” adds an extra highlight! Your last card – an elegant beauty! Have a peaceful Sunday evening, my friend!

That is quite a round up of challenges for your cards Anita. And I have to say each card is fabulous and I am loving each and every design. I love the split layer panels and your leaves card is so soothing. This post and all the cards ranks in my top five of your fab creations.

Wow!! You totally ROCKED all these challenges. Where to start first? I adore your first card with all that splatter and blue-one of my favorite colors. I also am in love with that little dragonfly!! Your one layer card is perfection. Still so bad at doing those. Mine always seem like the are missing SOMETHING. The yellow birthday card is so bright and cheery. LOVE this design and like that you brought it out again. I need to do more of this when I am in a rut. Your last card is simply genius too. I have those leaf dies and have yet to use them!! All of these are just FANTASTIC!!

So much splattered loveliness! You were on a splattering roll, girl! Love that delicate libellule fluttering over the water, the sunny flower, the splattered ray of sunshine (also liked the first version but this one is even better), as well as those elegant leaves over the subtle background! You are amazing coming up with so many fabulous cards in one post!

Wow what a treat this post!
Love how the blue spatters look on the first card; they bind it together and give it such a warm feel’! The bold stripe is great on the 2nd (want to try that myself….) and the shape on the 3rd is super with that beautiful sunny sponging. Think the first is my favorite, but the last came so close; love the graphic design combined with the so natural-looking leaves…. Hope you have a good week planned! Hugs, Gerrina

You get the prize for the most challenges achieved in one post…and so many winners in this lot. You have definitely mastered the spatter trend. I won’t even try to pronounce libellule from your first card…stunning…love the die against those blues. And that “simple, not so simple” bloom on the second makes my heart happy (yellow, you know). Then you not only dressed it up, but put in couture for your third card…that one’s awe inspiring. But wait…there’s more. Using those skeletal leaves over the grey makes for an amazing card. Wow!…you’re really on a roll. Where do you find the time?

LOVE the summery color palette on your 2nd card, and your ray of sunshine with an ombre sentiment on your 3rd!
