Hello … bonjour! Welcome to the first challenge of 2018 at Time Out … and our 100th! We’re introducing a couple of changes to our monthly schedule this year … one of which makes it’s first appearance here today, with our new ‘We Challenge You To Be …’ theme. So, for this challenge … ‘We Challenge You To Be … Thankful’. This is my take on it …
A simple, fresh, one layer card, masked and stamped with flowers and leaves from Verve’s Bloom Brighter … and overstamped with a sentiment from the same set. Some enamel accent dots in the centre of the flowers … and a sprinkling of sequins … finishes it off.
Where will our challenge take your creative imagination … being thankful for a friend … being thankful for some kindness or special event … Christmas thank you’s … or somewhere else? Where ever it takes you, we’d love to see what you create! This time, we’re sponsored by Verve Stamps … the winner, as voted for by the DT will receive a stamp set of their choice from the store … and as usual, will be invited to guest design with us in a future challenge. All the details are over at Time Out, along with a plethora of wonderful inspiration from our fabulous DT … as well as from our delightful Guest Designers. Yep, plural … this fortnight, we’re fortunate to have two lovely Guest Designers … Bobby from Bits and Pieces and Julee, owner of Verve Stamps, from Poetic Artistry. They are both super talented card makers and have oodles of fantastic cards to enjoy on their blogs … do go and have a delightful meander through them … and why not say hello while you’re there!

Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy! Anita 🙂
what a one layer joy! I do love this set and you worked wonders with it. Such petty colours and I love the over stamping with the semtiment. Great to see you at Ink too!!
I can’t believe this is all one layer, it’s so perfectly stamped and balanced!
This is a one layer beauty! Love your choice of colors…my favorite 🙂
Again great sunny and fresh card! Hope you will see the dun today! Hugs, Gerrina
What a happy card, Anita! Beautiful colors and a wonderful sentiment. Hard to believe it’s just one layer. So very pretty!
In my very-white-cold-world, your darling bouquet is warming my heart, Anita! You are so good at floral arrangement, my friend – and yes, we all have something to be thankful for! Thank you, always, for your inspiration, and friendship! xx

You make one layer look so easy, Anita. The colors are so soft and pretty and the masking is perfect.
Hello Anita! Such a beautiful job on this one layer beauty that brings sunshine to my mind’s eye. Wonderful masking and color choices. It is bitterly cold here and blizzardy conditions today. I am peacefully wrapped up in a blanket and doing some commenting. Hugs to you!
Pretty sure you need to change your name from “Anita,” to “Master-of-All-Cardmaking-Forever-Amen.” This is a stunning one layer wonder! Every single time I visit your blog, you manage to make my eyes and heart smile. Love this masked bouquet in those lovely warm colors (and I emphasize, “warm” as it’s pretty darn cold here still)! Perfect placement of that sentiment too. A delight. Pure and simple! xoxoxo
What a wonderful theme for the new challenge; an opportunity to reflect on all those things for which we are thankful! I, like many of us, am grateful for YOU, sharing your inspiration with us with beautiful cards – like this gorgeous one-layered floral wonder here – and uplifting comments on our creations. Blessed to call you ‘my friend’!
Hugs~c
I feel so lucky that you’ve used one of my favorite, of yours, color combos. You had me at yellow, of course, but the way you pair it with oranges and corals is alway a delight. And what a happy, sweet sentiment. You certainly got the Thankful challenge right.
Oh I want to be able to do one layer cards like you!! This is AMAZING!! The colors are stunning and I love the enamel accents in the middle. I am thankful for a lot of things in my life-too many to count. One of them is lovely designers like you that share their talent with me. Thank you!!
Such beautiful stamping and layering. You always inspire me when you put together a floral arrangement.
rightbackatcha! So happy to know you, my friend! All the best for 2018. Crazy wind in your ‘hood these days? It quieted down today but this evening it’s picking up again.
Gorgeous one layer card Anita, the colors are so bright and beautiful, just about what we need up here in our frozen city. This card just warms me all over.
Thank you for sharing and for visiting too, one of my 2018 resolutions is to truly make an effort to visit and leave a comment on my favorite blogs and yours is at the top of my list.
Thank you for sharing.
Hugs,
Maria Rodriguez.

Just the soft lovely pick me up I needed on this bitter cold night!

Beautiful card, Anita.
What a fun challenge and a good one as it is always good to be thankful for something! I love your card Anita, so pretty is that bouquet. Love the colors you used but really love how you stamped the sentiment over part of the bouquet-don’t think I would have thought to do that but it looks great! Hugs, Brenda
Very pretty card, love the bold sentiment against the soft flowers.
