Hello … bonjour! I’m delighted, excited and thrilled to be here today … extending to you a very warm welcome to the launch of the brand new, spick and span, unique Twofer Card Challenge, conceived by the lovely Darnell! You may already have seen the announcement post a few weeks ago, though for those who haven’t … the idea of the challenge is to make two different cards … for two different occasions … using the same stamps and/or dies … based on a word prompt. This month’s prompt is …
… and here’s where I went with my Twofer …
Both my cards are CAS in style … the main image on them is the feather (from Waltzing Mouse Stamps, sadly no longer operating) … and that’s where the similarity ends! Here’s a closer look at each one, showing how they’re different …
For this first one, I used a wonky stitched panel (MFT), masked and stamped the images so they snuggle together, added a heart to the centre of each one and stamped the sentiment (from Avery Elle). To finish off, I added some Spectrum Noir sparkle to the hearts, coated them with Glossy Accents … and popped the panel up on craft foam on the card base. Not too girlie, not too manly … fine for an anniversary card! Shimmer and shine anyone?
Here, I made the feather images into ornaments for a Christmas card. They and their strings were heat embossed in silver, with the centres and little hangers heat embossed in blue. The sentiment (SSS) was die cut from silver foil paper and adhered flat to the card base … and I added a strip of silver sparkle washi and one of heat embossed blue to the edge.
Voilà … two distinctly different cards for two distinctly different occasions with the same stamp!
So … how would you like to play along with us in our inaugural challenge … we’d love it if you did! Why not let your imagination go to work with ‘Feathers’ … stretch those creative muscles … and make two distinctly different cards … for two distinctly different occasions … with the same stamps/dies? All the information you need, including timescales, guidelines, rules and FAQs … along with a whole heap of glorious inspiration from the fantastic DT … is over at the Twofer blog … it’s just a click away! Can’t wait to see you in our gallery!

What lovely CAS cards! I love how they are both CAS and yet both so different! Really lovely! Thanks so much for joining us this week at Watercooler Wednesday!
These cards are wonderful x
You’re always so creative, Anita, but wow–this time you’ve outdone yourself! Love them both, but especially the Christmas card!
love your card design – thanks for joining us at Addicted to Stamps and More
Gorgeous, CAS cards, Anita! Using the feather to make ornaments is a genius idea!
How creative!! Love the twofer challenge and how you used the leaf to create these cards. So glad you shared your creations with everyone at the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge.
These are so sweet.
So fun seeing you as a team member on this new challenge. Congrats, Anita. Hugs from MN!
How cleverly you changed up this gorgeous stamp with the designs you did for the layout AND the little icons in the center. The stitching look of the feathers made me think of the elegant & graceful crewel work done on antique linens. So pretty, and the colors are lovely as well. I especially liked the Christmas ornament one! TFS & Hugs
Wonderful cards Anita, those ornaments are fabulous.. I am back from California and I hope to play once I unpack and get back to my grove.
A great card. Thanks for playing along with us at Addicted to Stamps & More. Hope to see you again

These are fantastic, Anita. They look super as Christmas ornaments and I would have thought that’s what they are had I not read your post. Love the CAS designs and both colour palettes.
Super cards Anita…love how you used the feathers to make the ornaments, very clever….both cards are lovely.
xx Karen
