Happy Birthday, Kylie! CAS(E) This Sketch #83, Uniko Studio #11 (Purple Birthday), Stamplorations #July (Stamps and Glitter), SSS Monday 30/6 (W Is For White)

We’re having another birthday celebration today … for the lovely Kylie from Kylie is Addicted to Stamps!  Kylie is full of energy and is so talented … check out her blog to see for yourself if you haven’t already!  She’s is the owner of Addicted to CAS and Addicted to Stamps and More challenge blogs, is on various design teams and has recently started a new craft forum … Happy Little Stampers … as I said … soooo energetic!  There’s a linky party going on right now, hosted by the delightful Loll over at Stamping With Loll … so pop over, check out the awesome cards and maybe add one yourself to wish Kylie a happy day!  Kylie, this card’s for you … wishing you a Happy, Happy Birthday … hope your day is a special one filled with all good things!

Honourable Mention

I stamped the Uniko Studio gerbera onto watercolour card and (as Shirley would say), sloshed some colour over it.  Once it was dry, it was trimmed out, coated with Wink of Stella, and had Stickles added to the centre.  I stamped an Annabelle Stamps sentiment onto a watercolour card base, popped up the gerbera on foam dots, added a little bling and rounded the corners.

I’m entering Kylie’s card into these challenges …

CAS(E) This Sketch (where I’ve not played forever … see below for Gayatri’s fabulous sketch)

Uniko Studio – Birthday and Purple Hues (see below)

Stamplorations – Stamps and Glitter (you can’t see the WoS but the glitter’s pretty full on!)

SSS Monday – W Is For White (all but the flower)

Thank you so much for all your good wishes, healing thoughts and prayers after the epic hand v hot baking tray battle … it’s much, much better (the hand!) and I’m back to (gingerly) doing things two handed.  Whilst I’m not a quick card maker at the best of times, at the moment I’m even slower than usual (is that the hand or is that Monsieur Mojo playing up, I wonder) … so I’ve come up with a cunning plan to keep posting.  I’m going to post a couple of cards made a while ago that I never shared … they’re already in the hands of the sweet friends to whom they were sent, so I won’t be ruining any surprises!

See you a little later.  Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy!  Anita 🙂

Another stunner, my friend! LOVE it. Simply GORGEOUS! So glad to hear your boo-boo is getting better. And when you are completely healed, Monsieur Mojo better be ready for some serious, two-handed card making time! Can’t imagine how you made this without full use of both hands…blows my mind. Did I mention that I LOVE it?????!!!

Nothing like a good ‘sloshing’, its very cathartic I think!! This card is beautiful and love the colour and watercolouring effect. And so glad to hear your hand is gradually healing. It really puts you out when your hands can’t be used, that quite literally are very ‘handy’!! Max tried to make his first pikelet today and caught his finger on the side of the frypan. Lots of cold water and tears and decision made to leave the cooking to me a bit longer. Look forward to seeing your new (old) cards too!

WOW, you are a master at ‘sloshing’, Anita!!! You have given that beautiful gerbera such a lot of dimension!!! The purple looks great and the WOS and stickles just adds to the loveliness!!! The sentiment stamp goes so nicely with the gerbera and of cause the perfectly placed bling and the rounded corners finishes off this card as a stunner!!!!
Glad that hand of yours’ is better!!! Now you be careful in future with hot trays, hey!!!
Looking at the three cards you have posted, I can tell that Monsieur Mojo is back where he belongs – close at your side and inspiring you to inspire us with your beautiful cards!!!
    Have a super week!!!

Such an eyecatcher, Anita! And sorry to hear about your hand (see, it’s a good thing your boys have gone home so you don’t have to do too much World Cup clapping ;))

You are truly gifted with a natural ‘slosher’ ability! The bloom looks awesome! The wee bits of strategically placed bling the flower image perfectly! Love the subtle ink color of the sentiment too!

    Gorgeous!

Ahhh…the beautiful gerbera Uniko stamp that, in your hands, comes to vivid, beautiful life! Ever so pretty! Stunning colours and dimension; your sloshing is outstanding (and, did I not read at some point that a C plate for your cuttlebug made an appearance? Isn’t there also a die for this gem? I’ll take a die over fussy cutting…my already dwindled eyesight further dwindles…any day!) In any event, your fussy cutting adds more ‘impressive’ to the already off-the-scale impressive of this delight!
