Time Out DT #46, My Favorite Things Sketch #258, SSS Monday 7/12, SSS Work It Wednesday – November, Virginia’s View #21

Hello … bonjour … hope your week is turning out to be wonderful!  We start a fabulous new challenge at Time Out today … this fortnight, we have a deliciously festive Home Sweet Home inspiration photo to tempt you (it’s a little further down) … here’s how I interpreted it …

Time Out DT 46Time Out… and here’s the yummy inspiration …

I drew some pencil lines around a couple of MFT Circle Stax to act as a guide for my wreath, which was randomly stamped with dots from SSS Lots of Dots in red, two greens and the shimmery platinum.  The pencil lines were erased when it was complete, each dot was coated generously with Wink of Stella (of course!) and topped with a layer of Glossy Accents.  I cut the ‘sending’ from foil paper, adhered it, looping the ‘s’ round one of the ornaments … and nestled the Waltzingmouse Stamps sentiment underneath it … that’s stamped in Delicata Gold and clear embossed.  If I were to do it again, I’d match the die cut to the stamped sentiment rather than using foil … think it’d  look more co-ordinated that way.  Oh well, hindsight’s a wonderful thing!   How about a little detail …

Time Out DT 46 Detail

Will our inspiration photo tempt you to play along?  We’d love it if it did!  There are lots of gorgeous ideas over at the Time Out blog … from our super talented Guest Designer, Sonja K from The Art of Stamping, and from our own wonderful Design Team … so why not pop over and be inspired?  Do hope you’ll have chance to make it to the gallery!

I’m playing along at …

Hope I’m not the only one a loooong way behind on my visits … so looking forward to doing lots of catching up over the next few days!  In the meantime, thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy!  Anita 🙂

What a great idea Anita! Looks amazing and I love the sparkly dimension you’ve added. I recognise that WMS greeting…would know that font anywhere! I think I may even have that set…

Wonderful! Call me a “newbie” but the WoS and glossy accents together makes it extra special! I (heart) it… and your sentiment looks perfect to me.

Don’t know why you’re fretting about the sentiment…looks absolutely perfect on this awesome wreath. Love the addition of the platinum ink, it adds so much to the overall design.

Thank you so much for the close-up shot of your gorgeous wreath, Anita! I love all the shimmer and shine on your dots, and that you created the wreath on your own! Beautiful gold accent die cut and stamped sentiment, too!
I’m glad to see that you are still posting that beautiful photo of the Eiffel Tower…the victims and families of that horrific attack continue to be in my thoughts and prayers!

So fun to see how we both used the same stamp set, used almost the same colores and created a wreath and how nevertheless both cards look different. I love your idea of using Glossy Accents to add dimension and shine, and other than you I cannot see any flaw in the sentiment. Thanks for the shout out and the link to my blog, too. So happy to guest design for Time Out for these two weeks. :o)

Wow! Your wreath is fabulous (love your resourcefulness!!!). At first glance I thought that you used the Clearly Besotted stamp/die set! As for the foil…I REALLY like it, especially how the shimmer of the gloss on the baubles matches the gloss/shine of the sentiment! Great card pal 🙂

You did some perfect stamping here Anita! And the lovely shimmer you achieved with the Wink of Stella just gets magnified by the glossy accents! A wonderful recreation of the inspiration picture! Happy Friday!

You have the most wonderful eye for design…and I love this fabulous ‘bubble’ wreath. Using the different sizes & colors of the circles certainly CASed your inspiration wreath & adding the texture to the tops of the elements added such a great deal of dimension. You sound like me, with the 2nd guessing on your sentiment, as it looks perfectly fine the way you’ve done it! Just a splendid colorful & CAS card. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and TFS …hugs too.

This so fabulous Anita! When I first saw it, I thought that you had used enamel dots to create the wreath – the shine and dimension from the Glossy Accents is so beautiful! Love the shiny gold greeting too! Jill
