More MFT Summer Camp … and Other Fun Stuff

Hello … bonjour!  I’m back with the remaining two cards I made over the weekend … still keeping it short and sweet.  First up, a gentle breath of nature …

MFT Summer Camp - Watercolour, MFT Sketch 285, TESJ 40A masked and splattered-with-three-greens panel, divided with slender strips of black, topped with a watercoloured palm leaf from MFT and an embossed sentiment from SSS.  Some black enamel dots finished it off.

In contrast, here’s my fun and bright second offering …

MFT Summer Camp - Shaker & Slider 1, AAA 67, HLS Dies - June, VV 22, SSSW 15-6

A pair of tropical love birds (MFT), coloured with Promarkers and Wink of Stella’d, their eyes meeting as they walk toward one another along the ‘pebble’ scattered rainbow shaker beach (it’s the tropics, there’s bound to be a rainbow beach!).  You can see how taken they are with each other from the Wink of Stella’d and Glossy Accented hearts floating up between them.   Madame Love Bird certainly seems to be giving Monsieur Love Bird the eye!  It doesn’t stop there … I caught them leaning forward to steal a kiss …

MFT Summer Camp - Shaker & Slider 2, AAA 67, HLS Dies - June, VV 22, SSSW 15-6Ahhh … true love … yep, birds of a feather (MFT).  They do seem to be a little reserved as they’re looking down rather than gazing into one another’s eyes.  Could be it’s because they’re in public (would you smooch in front of all these people?) … or maybe they’re just watching where they put their feet with all those pebbles around … they don’t want to twist a claw!

Wonderful cards, Anita – I love that rainbow walkway on your tropical birds card. Birds in love should be walking on rainbows and flying in the clouds, don’t you think?

Cool and elegant – bright and whimsical. Two very different cards that speak to your creativity, Anita. I should have gone to this camp I think. I haven’t earned a badge since Girl Scouts back in the dark ages.

That mini shaker is so much fun, but your first card really caught my eye. I am always looking for styles to send to my Dad, and this is a fabulous design.

You’re first card is cooling me off perfectly…I call it a lime popsicle (hey, if it isn’t wine it’s food). So lovely and refreshing. Now, we’ll talk about that second card. Toujour l’amour (did I get that right?). This is what I call a stroke of genius…shaker and focal points moving…doesn’t get better than that. But that’s not all…so beautifully colored, takes my breath away. If this doesn’t win one of those challenges, something is seriously wrong with the judges.

#1 is so fresh & love the way you’ve done the layout…The black strips make the green spattering really glow. And of course I love the green fern. So very graceful. Black & white with the green…very crisp and lovely together. #2 was just pure delight with the colors, those birds and the cutout rectangle to add even more color. Liked the falling hearts detail very much too! TFS & Hugs

I also love the “Love” birds! How cute are they?!! Their rainbow love beach is amazing as a shaker and I love how they seem to be kissing after they get together. lol They are just acting calm and cool on that beach! Who cares who see them kissing, so heck yes, I would kiss in front of all those people! But just a quick kiss. lol Hugs, Brenda
