Hello … bonjour! Surprise … a non DT post … my first since January! Each week I believe there’ll be a little spare time to just play with paper, ink and challenges … then it gets to Sunday night and there’s not. Pretty much where we’ve all been at one time or another, I guess! Today, though, at last, I have a trio of cards to share, inspired by a plenty of different challenges. Here’s the first …
My primary inspiration here came from my lovely friend Chriss‘s card for Muse Christmas Visions, 100th challenge party (many congratulations, ladies!) …I picked up on the colours, the gold and the layout … and stamped my festive spray using images from Concord & 9th‘s Flourish. This isn’t an outline stamp, so I did some of the layering in gold, to mimic Chriss’s embossing. For the main flower, I also used a water brush to blend the gold and white to create cream … and added some white gel pen highlights to the berries. The sentiment is from WPlus9 (inspired by SSS Monday).
I’m playing along at (badges at the bottom) …
Muse Christmas Visions – As above
Addicted to Stamps and More – Holiday
SSS Monday – Inspired by a Song … Joy To The World
SSS Wednesday – Use More Than One Stamp … Two sets, lots of stamps
Watercooler Wednesday – All About Christmas
The next card is a bright, sunny little number …
This lovely MFT sunflower was gifted to me by my sweet friend Bev (thanks, Bev!) … it puts me in mind of the fields of them that will be in bloom around us by the summer. I did some ink layering (with MISTI) to get the graduated colour on the petals and leaves, die cut everything and adhered the flower and leaves onto my linen card base. The Papertrey sentiment (thanks, Judith!) was stacked three times and adhered over the sunflower … and I scattered some Lucy’s Little Gems around it.
This bright bloom is heading to (badges below)…
Just Us Girls – Inspiration Picture (below)
Happy Little Stampers Dies – Anything Goes
SSS Monday – Inspired by a Song … Sunflower by Glen Campbell
SSS Work it Wednesday – Sunshine and Summer Time
The Cat’s Pajama’s – Die Cutting
This last card may just have a familiar feel about it …
Yep, the same main image as the first card … though doesn’t it look different here in these summery shades (or at least it does to my eyes!). My colour palette came from a home decor piece I saw on Pinterest … I wanted something rather bold … and a bit different from my usual choices. The Concord & 9th Flourish images are simply stamp layered direct onto the card base … and I added a sentiment from Beautiful Branches, also from Concord & 9th. Voilà … it didn’t seem to need anything else!
I’m joining in with (badges below) …
Where Creativity Meets C9 – Floral
Less Is More – One Layer Card – Thinking of You
SSS Monday – Inspired by a Song … Wildflowers by Tom Petty
SSS Wednesday – Use More Than One Stamp … Two sets here
Hope your weekend has been a wonderful one … have a happy week! Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy! Anita:)
STUNNING trio of cards, Anita!
I love that cheery sunflower and the celebrate sentiment. It made my smile even wider😀. Your use of the Concord & 9th Flourish is so artful and dreamy. My favourite is the flower that you chose to create the creamy blend…dreamy, I say! I love the gold background “seeds” and your use of all of the gold accents. Such a joy and honour to see you celebrating along with us in the MCV gallery. Good luck with the random prize drawings!
A threefer to bring sunshine and light to all who see them, Anita! I love both your C9 arrangements and how different they look with a simple change up of colors! Brilliant, really! And your sunflower looks positively real! I hope you share photos again of the spectacular fields around you! And I hope you get more “ME” crafty time soon!! LYAMYMAESD! Hugs, Darnell
What a delightful post, Anita! I love the elegance of your first card with all the beautiful gold embossing and lovely details! You did an amazing job on the 2nd card adding the gradation of colors to the sweet sunflower and your stacked die cut sentiment is just perfect! I also love the summery color palette you chose for your last card…so bright and cheery! The recipients of all 3 cards will feel very special indeed…stunning work, my friend!
Three absolutely gorgeous cards Anita! I love your designs.
I love all three card designs, but I LOVE LOVE the Christmas Joy card! Glad you found some moments to play and create…yes, we can all relate…with several commitments behind me, I am hoping for some ‘free play’ time soon! I wanna get ‘messy’! ♥
Fabulous Muse card Anita, lovely non-poinsettia spray, it’s really pretty, Do agree with those moments when there’s never enough time for a challenge and I’m not even a team member – you girls do a wonderful job keeping up
Gorgeous selection of cards Anita, lots of beautiful flowers beautifully coloured or inked, cathy x
a beautiful trio of cards Anita which certainly bring joy to the world, thank you so much for sharing with us at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, hugs kath xxx
Bonne semaine. Bises & Hugs
Oh my, so many songs and interpretations. Lovely and cute., The sunflower is very pretty! Thank you for joining Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.
Such pretty cards, Anita. Also love how you’ve used non-Christmas stamps to create your Muse card.
Oh my, a trio of delight is what we have here. I adore how you used the same stamps for the first and third cards and they each look beautiful. Way to show how to stretch your stamps. I think the colors in that last one are so pretty and fresh. And the sunflower simply makes me smile. Love it! I’m so glad you had some time to just play and look at the beauty you created! I completely understand how play time gets pushed aside. Oh, but school’s out for the summer for me and I’ve been able to play a bit. You just might take a wander over by my blog…;) Thanks so much for sharing, Anita. Such a delight!
I’m thrilled to receive this terrific trio, Anita! even more that you’ve had a bit of time to enjoy your craft! You always make that C&9th set shine – in every color! You’ve also opened my eyes to those berries from the set! I’d love to see those fields of sunflowers, my friend – this single bloom has added a lovely extra bit of sunshine to my morning!

Bises
I love that you used that C9 set as a Christmas card – so creative and utterly beautiful! So great to see you at MCV – I’m so glad you were able to find to play!
First of all, you win the medal for number of challenges met in one post. Secondly, each one of these cards is a real contender. WOW!…not very eloquent but it certainly conveys my feelings. Love the differences between the two Concord & 9th cards. Christmas to Summer (both favorite seasons of mine) so beautifully illustrated. The colors are just perfect for them. And that sunflower is gorgeous. Being surrounded with them would be my piece of heaven.
Your Christmas card is fabulous. Love the beautiful colors. Thank you so much for sharing with us at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. 🙂
Anita, you have posted a fabulous collection of cards. The first one is so delicate, your second card with that delicious sunflower makes me smile. Your last card has such fab colors. Love them all.
Wow to how you’ve incorporated all those challenges onto the one post….amazing ….As are your beautiful CAS cards. Loving that Concord and 9th stamp set and what beautiful colours and loving the white and gold into the cream. Your second card is sunshine on a card, vibrant, full of colour and so happy. Interesting to see the same stamp set on the third card and equally as fabulous in the different colours. Bet it feels really good to join in challenges and having some fun crafting? Thank you for sharing these wonderful and beautiful cards x
So glad you found that extra time on Sunday to share this trio of beautiful cards. I love how #1 and #3 look so different and yet are the same stamps. Beautiful. Your Christmas rendition is quite cheerful and colourful. Thanks so much Anita for joining our “All About Christmas” Anything Goes Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
Wow, Anita, what a stunning Christmas card! I love the colours you’ve used and the way you’ve interpreted that inspiration card. Great idea and design! Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
All so very beautiful Anita!
It’s great to see you found a little time to play in other challenges. Such fabulous cards, Anita! I love how you can dress up a stamp so differently for two different cards (hmm, like a Twofer)! I also love how you found your color inspiration off of a home decor piece – our living room is aqua, green, cream, and accented with orange.
What gorgeous cards!!! Thanks for playing along at the WWC!!
Manifique! J’adore les fleurs! Thanks for joining us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge 🙂

A different colour makes a totally different card! They both look great, just as thesunflower! Not jet in Christmas-mood here, but this one looks so warm; just what you need in winter! Hugs, Gerrina
Amazing how this set from Concord & 9th works equally well as a Christmas card and a summery card by changing the color scheme! Lovely! And your big sunflower is so bright and cheerful on all that white space! Wonderful designs!
Hugs, Susanne
Gorgeous sunflower card – beautiful! And the colors on all of them are just beautiful – I love stopping by your blog because you always have such amazing inspiring creations! Thanks for joining us at JUGS this week!
A delightful trio of cards Anita! That’s a beautiful CAS design on the sunflower card. Your first and third cards really do look so different with the same stamps. I really love the summery colours one layer and it is perfect for our theme at Less is More. Thank you so much for joining us xx
I’m so glad that you had time to just sit down and play with paper and ink, Anita. Using different colors with the Flourish set shows its versatility and your design sense. The sunflower is such a great focal point on your wonderful linen card. Thanks for sharing it with us at Just Us Girls.
Gorgeous cards Anita, tres belles! I esp love the first two with the white flowers, not easy to accomplish! I completely understand about not having the time altho i spend so much time in the craft room that i’m always surprised when i only have my DT cards at the end of the month! Thanks for sharing them with us at Addicted to Stamps and More and I always look forward to seeing your beautiful creations. Hugs, Gwendolyn
Yay for fun crafting time. And such beautiful results. You’ve worked wonders with that C9 branch. Love it as a Christmas-y design. The touches of white and gold are perfect. And the colors on the other – so Florida keys-ish. Definitely summery.
Love all these fabulous cards! They are all so beautiful and delightful. 🙂
When you have time to craft for yourself, you sure don’t mess around. Three wonderful cards, Anita! Your first and third card twofers are brilliant. Fabulous way to stretch your stamp. Beautifully stamped and great colour choices. Thank you for joining us at Less is More. x
Looks like a productive day Anita – I can’t believe you haven’t done a non-DT card since January! Your Christmas card is somehow bold and soft all at the same time ..what a pretty stamp. I can’t believe the third card is the same one. It’s amazing how different they look, simply by changing the colours!
Florals for all occasions! Love, love, love them all! I’m particularly fond of the color combo in your last card. Just beautiful! What a delight to see you play along with the floral challenge at Where Creativity Meets C9!
oh my goodness! I do not know how I missed this trio of fabulousness, but I did! Yikes! But here I am (now!) to let you know that they are absolutely amazing!!
Gosh Anita a beautiful trio of cards, each so perfectly matched to the challenges. Looks like you have been having a bit more time to craft–yay! xo
Each is so lovely! Love your sunflower and the wonderful Christmas designs. I’m especially in awe of the first one, such a great use of that set. Those berries look amazing!!
A beautiful card trio! Especially the first card – you are rocking that set! My non DT cards are also far and few in between….too bad, its nice to make something without constraints and simply for the sheer fun of it…..for me it will get a bit better. I stepped down on some of the DT’s. Too many and my work has immensely increased after my colleague retired….In fact, I will be moseying upstairs soon, to do some work (for work) and squeeze in two DT cards….due date coming up….
Congratulations on your Work It Wednesday win…I am definitely not surprised. You always manage to stop my breath.
